Another quick tip is to keep your eye on Amazon "New Arrival" pages. If you find something you've never seen before you may have found yourself a new niche!

Yes you can it is the same as launch jacking but with amazon products the niche is new.You can't rely on the keyword planner because its data is 3 months behind, so you listen to an authority in that niche.For example DR Oz talk about garcina cambogia and weight loss after that its popularity increased and CPA networks push out these types of offers all over the internet and make bank.

The thing with your method is (and why i personally don't like this strategy) is that those hypes in the media most of the times short lived, and before you have any authority and rankings with a niche site the hype already moved on to bigger and better things.

Another useless pseudo method which says nothing about how to get traffic just 'various social media websites'. Getting traffic is 99% of the work and so you leave out 99% of what is important. Therefor your thread is 1% useful.

As I said in the guide, ALL the traffic came from the low competition of the niche and all the long tails I included and "guessed" would start getting traffic, and they did. Yeah, basically, but I explained my way of targeting keywords that I didn't know had any searches and my story. Most of the media outlets started writing about how bad they were and how they are exploding, so the traffic/searches slowed down really quickly.
I put them both in the grave shortly after the niche died.

Yeah, this "technique" is all about being alert and able to take action quickly once you find one. There is only a few niches like this per day so you better be really, really alert.

25,000 words, 0 backlinks at all. I got all the traffic from the long tails.
I only got traffic from the ranked long tails on Google. I cannot answer your question about Instagram redirects since I don't use Instagram at all.

But if you have to act quickly when something new is trending, how are you going to have enough time to find content writer, wait for them to finish, get the content over to your website. It could be days before you finally get your content.
Speaking of which, how many articles did you have and how many pages?

most people don't know about hoverboards' exploding...
I got in on this niche in July last year - my son asked me for one because he saw lots of Youtubers talking about them and I thought it sounded like an interesting product. Also made an easy 5 figures with no backlinks and about 15 pages of content. I'm kicking myself that I didn't work a bit harder on it, but we weren't to know that the niche would blow up like it did. I changed my links to eBay after Amazon banned them around 12th December but only made another £1000 after that. Nearly every online retailer banned them early this year. So many public places have banned them as well it'd hardly be worth buying one now.
