Hey guys. Some of you might have seen my previous journey where I tried to build two authority sites and make them both earn $100/day. To be honest, I hate the niches I chose and they are really competitive - something that I try to avoid as much as possible as I can still find low competition niches that can bring me in great money. So I sort of abandoned it.

Now I am back with a small little journey of building a small niche site that I want to make $200/day with. Actually, I started the site about a week ago and have already made $100+ with it which is a crazy but a great start.

    So far I've:
    • Set the site up and filled it with 25,000 words of content.
    • Set up a few social accounts - branded, not "fake" profiles
    • Uploaded a few videos on YouTube around my topic

Money talks, so here is a few numbers.

    Cost
    Domain: ~$10
    Hosting: $5
    Content cost:
    $81.50
    Total cost: $96.5

    Earnings
    Commission: $116.27 + 4 non-shipped products

So, as you can see - it is already profitable!

If you got any questions leave them in a post on this thread, I won't answer PMs about this project.

I'll update daily with results. So far, I haven't done any backlinking of any sort. The site will be monetized primarily with Amazon.

    Take care,
    hekke

"filled it with 25,000 words". What words? I'd love to know more about the structure of the content you used.

Nice one congrats allready. Currently building a site as well. Just got the design tweaked and now I'm looking for content. Did you outsource all your words? And how many posts do you have atm? How long did it take for Google to index your site?

I will subscribe as I'm going through the same journey as you. Thanks!

You paid $82 for 25 000 words? that is about $1.6 per 500 words.
Can you explain little about this, I am really curious if you used a writing service from here.

Hekke, good luck my friend. Your post is one of the reasons why I stopped lurking and decided to start my own Amazon Affiliate website today. I'll be posting a journey thread shortly and I can't wait to follow along with yours. I'm also very impressed with how much organic traffic you have from Google already. Could you elaborate on that?

Review articles and best of articles. I forgot to add to the intro that it will be primarily monetized by Amazon. Edited the post so that it is clear. I've gone through how my articles are structured in my previous journey (with templates to use even).
Yes, I outsource all my articles (I currently have 15). I used my method explained here: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...85592-guide-how-i-find-writers-0-6-100-a.html.

Google indexed my site within 1-2 days I believe. I didn't use any special tools for indexing, I just pushed out a ton of content and it got indexed pretty quick. I guess having social media accounts might help with indexing so I try to set up a few social media accounts as soon as possible.

    Spot on haha :)

I am glad to hear that you get motivated from my posts, that is the only reason I post this (and to have it documented). Well, the amount of organic hits I've gotten have been great. I rank for a ton of long tails and I also target a lot of keywords my competitors doesn't target so I actually rank 3rd for a 600 searches a month keyword already!

I also try to include as many keywords per article as possible, not matter how few searches it gets. It might grow overtime and there I am at the top just bringing in a ton of visitors. Most people might just have 10 keywords per article, I usually get around 20-30 keywords and my writers do a great job of including them naturally.

According to the sales/income/profit already, i would say you could make this 500-1000$ / day if you work hard for some years..

Sure thing! Except from putting up the content and ranking for long tails I uploaded a few YouTube videos (they got 200-300 views each now) and I sit on Twitter 20-30 mins a day while being on toilet or just before bed following/favoriting/tweeting. And that's pretty much it. I've just made a few slideshow YouTube videos so nothing fancy.

I rank #3 for a 600 monthly searches keyword that I think bring in a couple of hits per day as well as a ton other keywords.

Well, yeah maybe but I don't want to run it for a few years unless it is growing each month. I plan to sell this site once I feel like it have hit it's potential for 20x+ the monthly revenue. This is in no way an authority site so it can only be expanded so much until it is hard finding new keywords. But we will see as the niche and the site grows. :)

Hey Hekke, another quick question for you. In your Amazon Affiliate thread you provide a template for writing one of the pages. It's the one about "Best of template" and I'm wondering - For each of the titles, for example "pros and cons of keyword", "review 1", etc, are you using h2 tags for each one? If yes, does that cause some of the keywords to overlap or become 'stuffed' in the article with too many h2 tags?

    Hey Hekke!
First of all, awesome journey! Looking forward to follow you.

    I have a question.
I have a few niches in mind, however I do not know if they're profitable.
-What process do you go through when finding niches? How do you evaluate if they're profitable, if they're worth selling etc.?
-Do you buy brand new domains or expired domains?

Please add me on Skype: lord-ah

I use h2 tag for the "Pros cons of keyword" and "Keyword Reviews" and h3 for the reviews. I haven't ran into any problems doing it like that. I doubt it can get overlapped/stuffed just because of using H2-tags to be honest, don't fall for all SEO guru myths. Just try to make the content user-friendly and you should be pretty good to go!

I don't think to much when entering a niche to be honest. I do some small niche search and check the top rankers - if I see that they aren't really powerful pages with many backlinks ranking top 3 then I enter it. Having a product over $100 is a plus but not necessary. I was making a solid $4K-$5K a month with my old site and the products price was around $50 so you really don't need to follow that rule to succeed.

For this journey I will use a fresh domain that haven't been registered before. I know that most people start with expired domains to get that extra boost of the backlinks or metrics the domain got but I have never done that - mainly because I don't got a scraper software haha. :)

Added you on Skype, but if you got a question about this project leave it here!

I got a penis, if that is relevant for you. Hopefully you can sleep well at night from now on! :)

Nice journey, interested in following this. Are you writing a review on each product then? How many products are you aiming to get on the site / or how many keywords have you got to work with, out of interest.
