Yes but a lot of people do use epacket it's not really my spin. I Think it was Franklin hatchets videos that he showed epacket.
There are some plugins. Just search affiliate in their plugin store. Most of them are paid monthly but have free trials. So just use free trials until your making money and can pay. Or you can just create a coupon code for the person to track how many sales he gets. But problem is he won't be able to see it.

You have to post links to stuff people care about. It's easiest with pictures of cats or something like that. I have a cat and just take pictures of it doing stuff all day and then farm out the karma to my side accounts. If you browse Wikipedia you can find interesting stories, or stay up to date on the news and break a story. Basically any upvotes on a link (news article, picture, website, etc) post that you start counts as positive karma.
You can either grow it like the person below said, or just buy one for 5-10$
