This method is not new, its one tedious old method, which am aware some of you might have done before. I receive so many emails from people trying to sell seo services, there is nothing unique about the way this people present themselves, you can literally say it's copy and paste and been sent out to bunch of website owners.
Before I go into how I made this, I would have to say I got lucky, as I tried this method last year for three months and no result yielded, but tried this again this month for few hrs and had 3 sales off it. Pure chance.

It’s basically sending emails to local clients with website, this is suitable for people who sell SEO, social media and try and put your spin on it. I will share how I go about this.

Am from the UK, there is so many directory to get into, let use the below example

    http://www.freeindex.co.uk

It’s easier to pick one industry and one location at a time; it will make your manual work a bit easier. I will be picking a wedding photographer, and location to be London.

Go to freeindex, type in the industry and the location, and presto you have loads of website owner to contact, visit their site, head towards contact page.

Am sure a lot of you with site would of got email from guys offering seo services without even putting any effort into it just basic email, no soul, no nothing in the email to grab your attention.

First, you need to download an add-on called awesome screen shot.

Introduce yourself in your mailing, tell your prospect what your company about, where your based yadi yada. Let me dive straight into it

There is a certain line in my creative which I put below here. (I got this mailing from somewhere but cant remember where? i just put some spin on it)

“Upon a bit of search using Google for keywords such as wedding photographer London I noticed the poor ranking of your site compared to that of your competitors. I can only assume that you may be missing out on some significant traffic and potential sales because of this.“

“However, with some extra effort and more developed strategy, I believe that you could easily outrank and outperform your competition. This would in turn mean a significant larger share of traffic and revenue for your business.”

Now here comes the kicker, in your mailing you need to emphasize how you’ve made a free website diagnostic report about this client site, and you’ve realized there are over 5000 potential clients looking for their services, and how much they are missing out on new clients every month. And you’ve attached a benchmark report showing where they are currently rankings on Google, and another report showing how many people looking for there service/products.

In my case I use IBP (Internet business promoter) you can download this software on this forum to create a report for the clients.

This is where the awesome screenshot add on comes in.

    Go to Google

Type in the phrase, which is wedding photographer london. Use the awesome screenshot to take full capture of the first page showing the client they are not ranking on first page of Google. Save the pics on your desktop. Example Below
    [IMG]

Then go to Google keyword tool. Do some research about the client’s phrases, example below.

Open up Microsoft Word. On the first page put something like this below to sort of customize this for your client.

    THE SHOCKING TRUTH ABOUT
BLACK HAT WORLD PHOTOGRAPHER (COMPANY NAME)

Take the photos you took with awesome screen shot, and insert it on Microsoft word. Use the awesome screen shot to write whatever you need to write, like 2900 people searching for your keywords. Save file, and convert the file to PDF version. Then attach the ranking report, and the google keyword tool, first page image with your mailing creative and start blasting.

The difference between this method or other people who send generic emails are you put effort into It, But God I hate doing it, too much hard work, hence saying it easier to pick one industry one location, and you can just edit company on your mailing creative and send.

I got three clients from doing this in one day, and close three clients within a week worth £385 /month and 3 months contract.
It’s a long windy method, but do it when I get so bored.

If there is something I don’t explain right, I will try my best to explain, am a geek, I hate writing.
    Good luck

It actually sounds easy and straight forward.

    1. Pick the clients from the directory yourself
    2. Design everything, the templates and the letters
    3. Outsource it for a few bucks so all are ready to be sent
    4. Receive orders
    5. Outsource the orders
    6. ???????
    7. PROFIT!!

I was recently doing cold calling but it wasn't working. Since I work from home, how do I go about in giving my location? I'm from London as well btw lol.

Cold calling does work, albeit the response rate is so much harder to make in your favour.

.... or just mass blast out emails but don't offer the SEO service. Just offer them a free report something "5 Ways to Increase Your Business Revenue by at least 50%". Then put your SEO Service with pics on second place and first position list TV, third radio and then add some more clever yada-yada. Works very good with emails but much more better in a usual mail.

One question, do you do seo yourself or do you outsource it?

    Hi Cocococo

Awesome tuts there. Really liked the fact that you broke it down real easy. I have just one question: Do you think this can work using youtube? To clarify, I mean would this work if I created a service-related keyword targeted video on youtube e.g. "wedding photographer in london", ranked it and contacted different businesses asking them to pay a monthly rental fee (will only offer it to one business of course)? Please let me know. Thanks.
