This story should be familiar to people who hold a BST, or buy services here on BHW.
I figured out that these days if you want to be a nice guy you have to first test the person, and then after that be nice to them. And when it comes to money, people will fuck you over, without any questions asked.
I usually love to keep detailed records of receipts and expenditures that I have, and I just can't function properly if I don't have a detailed report at the end of every week. But, when somebody scams me for some peanuts (intentionally or unintentionally) I usually don't want to argue, I just let him go and forget about it and I don't keep that sum in my papers. I mean, if that 20-30$ will make him happy and put a smile on his face, well, what the heck, some people need much more for that, I let them go.
And what happened today? I made a detailed report on who fucked me over in the last 2 months here on BHW and how much did I lose because of some users here. There were unpaid invoices that ranged from 4$ to 43$, and also services that I ordered here that ranged from 10$ to 25$ and were not delivered. In total people "scamed" me for 301.5$ here. 300$ is enough to start a nice BH project and to double/triple it in 1 month.
But, currently i'm not looking at this 300$ as money, i'm looking at it with disappointed eyes because people with which we share things and hang out here scam users on a regular basis, for peanuts.
And, I did not open this thread to shitlist anyone, I opened it because I want to say something in caps lock, to all of you.
Don't take or offer a service if you can't stick to the agreement
I mean, sometimes I make mistakes also, but then I fix them. I don't care anymore about that money, but I noticed that some of our members forgot that here we are not buyers and sellers, here we are friends and colleagues. So ffs, pay your invoices and deliver your services.
