how do you get the articles added to your sitemap if they are not part of a wp install? or do you just not bother adding them to your sitemap?

Hey great advice. This might just be what I need at the moment.
I think the bonus links come from blogrolls section of the article directories on the network. I say this because when I tried to customize the article directory (index.php) I put on my website, I saw the following tag under the Blogroll section "~bonuslink~". Maybe this tag gets replaced by links to other members' websites.
By the way, my website is waiting for approval by EAL (EZArticleLink). I have a few questions and will be grateful if you can shed some light on them:

- Will the article directory I install on my website populate articles that aren't related to my niche? For example: Lets say my website is "trainingmydog dot com". Now imagine having articles on finance, fashion, etc. on this website. Will this affect my Google rankings in any way, since the articles aren't related to my niche?
- Once your website is approved by EAL, do you move the link to your article directory to an internal page, rather than keeping it on the home page, so that it's difficult to find for your readers? If so, does EAL ban your website if they find this out?
- Have you ever had a lot of backlinks disappearing, when people close down their websites/article directories? Do this happen often?
- Ok this is more of a speculation rather than a question. Please feel free to ignore it if you feel like. So let's say someone uses EAL to blast articles across the network. After they get a few hundred backlinks from various article directories, they enter their website in Yahoo Site Explorer and view the various directories they are getting backlinks from, Now can't they find out cool niche ideas by looking at those article directories' homepages. Hence, wouldn't putting up an EAL article directory on your website make your niche/idea vulnerable to theft by letting websites that you are linking to, spy on your website? Of course, this can be avoided by never setting up an EAL article directory on your money websites. Have you ever faced this problem of new competitors sprining up when you setup an article directory on your low competition websites?
1) Yes there will be articles not related to your site. Doesn't affect your rankings and the only way people can find the pages is if they looked at you site: . That is unless you ad a link which shows on your site to the articles. I put the link to the articles at the bottom of my homepages in invisible text.

4) I don't worry about stuff like this. Anyone can steal your idea and niche at any time. You can't worry about stuff like this. It is a waste of time.

some pretty basic stuff like the on page seo, but a few tips i hadn't thought of.
Will try ez article service, but very skeptical of this type of stuff. So many services like seo link vine that are a complete sham.
Nice share though, referral link or not. A guy's gotta make money, that's what we're here for right?

How Does This New Feature Affect My Link Building Strategy?
We release this feature because Google is getting more demanding. If your website got lots of backlinks in the past, but no backlink recently, Google will begin to discount your old links. The rationale is, since no one links to you recently, you are outdated!
But that doesn't mean you need to have lots of backlinks all the time. Once your website is established, you just need a few backlinks, especially to the homepage, to let Google know that your website is still popular.
The principle of ezArticleLink is to make link building 'easy'. Having to submit articles non-stop is not 'easy' in our definition. Hence we introduce this new feature.
With this new feature, your articles will be published continuously after the initial target, at a slower rate of 0-5 posts a day. Hence it is safe for me to say your article will be posted infinitely, as long as you remain as a Gold member. (Give yourself a pat on your shoulder if you are a lifetime Gold member. By the way, lifetime Gold membership option is no longer available.)
Now, this feature is a double-edged sword.
If you have posted just one or a few articles for every webpage, this feature will surely stretch the link power of each article you've submitted.
But if you have posted tons of articles to build link for just 1 url, I have a concern. With this new feature, it means ALL your articles will now automatically continue to be posted, and you are going to have many repeated backlinks from the same group of domains, all to the same url. That may be too many, depending on how well established your website is.
So if you are one of those who submit lots of articles for 1 url (10 - 20 articles or even more), it is prudent to pause some of the articles, so that you will not have too many backlinks from the same group of domains to one particular url. Please note that I am referring to url or webpage, not domain. You can have hundreds of articles linking to hundreds of urls in the same domain. That's fine. My concern is too many articles linking to the same url or webpage.
Other than this concern, this is a powerful feature. I'm looking forward to see how it will boost our members ranking even higher.

I'll share a small but powerful tip here. Put your link in a div layer,
like <div>Link</div>. Give it absolute styling to shoot it off the page, like this:
<div style="position:absolute; width:auto; height:auto; top:0px; left:-20000px">Link</div>
You can also put this in your external style sheet. Use your imagination and get creative. It's google proof....for now.

This is an excellent guide. I will add my pennies worth here and say that you can also utilize scrapebox (if you dont have it, get it, seriously) to grab competitors links.
Simply put "site:www.siteyouwanttocheck.com" and press harvest links.
Once you have the URLS list then export and add "link:" in front of each url and harvest again.
This will give you deep links into the sites pages. You can then go through the list and see which of the links you can also get links from. Or if you are idle like me, outsource it
To beat a competitor, follow the OP's advice, plus look at competitors links, get more than them and you are on too a winner!
