I used to do something similar - I create full tv commercials, and other high end animated stuff, and the easiest way to convince the prospective clients was to carry my Archos 750, a touch screen hi res digital video player and recorder, smaller and easier to carry around than a laptop (this was some years before iPads).
I'd simply show them my previous work and I'd land a gig almost every time. I haven't done that in a while, but I made a pretty nice sum this way, so it's a proven marketing tool/method.

Although the post seems to be a hoax (really funny to see how people can get so dumb to create such threads) but the idea itself is good. You will always have the best chance of selling your shit while you are face to face with your customer, except for when you'll be selling Viagra, Penis enlargement pills or other sex related gizmos.

What is a hoax about it? I have the money...I own a business so I invoiced them with my invoices, they paid me via check like almost every other business does.

Personally I think you have a great deal of potential. That clip you put up was both beautiful and very appealing. I can't imagine a place NOT going for this.....
