April had been brutal enough to blow us, affiliate marketers, hard with the commission cut from Amazon. Now after 3 months, it's time to look back to the sales curve and take measures.
We all expected a 40-60% drop in sales, commissions, and overall worth of our blogs. But is it as terrible as everyone thought it to be?
Personally, what I see from my dashboard is, commissions are cut down. But there's is a shy climb of the number of products sold from a certain range of daily clicks.
As most of them are from cookie sales, which means people are buying more stuff than ever from Amazon. And somehow, that recovers up our loss in commission by a fair share. For example. a site was making about $1000/mo. After the cut, it was supposed to earn around $400-500. But what it's making is within $700-800. That's unusual and unexpected, right?
What you guys are experiencing? Also, we can talk about what monetization alternatives had worked out so far.
