How G know that the backlink is a paid one

Lately, they asked publishers to make it sponsored to give the model better training dataset.
they asked publishers to make it sponsored so that we can snitch on each other because google are incapable of knowing which links are paid. And just like you, I don't know for sure if what I said is true, but until proven wrong I will believe that it is.

Literally, the same way someone would know if your bitch is a paid one (gf vs. hooker). Now, if you are careful and invest in good links (high end escorts), then chances are no one would ever know. Unless the host website starts being a slut and sells a link to anyone that has cash you will be fine. Otherwise, be prepared for them STDs (penalties), they are on the way brotha! Vet the sites you get links on, bad links are worse than herpes.

is very easy how :)

you buy a link, the link stay alive 1 year, you don`t pay for another year, the owner remove your link. and after this, why owner remove the link?
because customer don`t pay one more year !

easy or not? with delay of course.

From the eyes of an outsider, that still doesn't "prove" it's a purchased link. Unless G has eyes on the transaction details and sees payment being transferred, they can't know what's purchased and what isn't.

They cannot track it. They derive this from patterns. Like if you have gained lot of backlinks in short time, they will check this.

There's no way for G to know if the backlinks are paid or not, but what do they check is the quality of the backlinks that's how they determine if the backlinks the webmaster got are paid or naturally obtained.

I know it's a silly question, but I have no idea really how G knows that the link is paid !
ML, basicly. Statistics. They simply buy some 100k links on their own and will look for patterns. That's no magic at all, paid links are mostly spread unorganic an will leave patterns. Like where it's positioned, how it's described, when it appears, etc...
I'm pretty sure, you can build up a simple ML modell, that will detect it with a 3% error rate.
There are ML modells, that can predict a timeframe, where a person is likly persecuting a crime - I would say, getting patterns of paid vs unpaid links is kind of easy compared to this^^

I would love to see data on this, from a private source since we all know G would never publicly show this data, unless it's in their patents somewhere.

Yeah, would be interesting. I can't say it for sure, though - but this is easy doable, you can even identify a person by his written texts on a court acceptable error rate...
They might do some kind of a step programm, though - ML Modells allways need ressources, they might not use em on all, but links but with metrics, when to look on these. Or random for domains, linking others - if a powerful domains links often and got too many random hits, it will be controlled more often.
