How easy would it be to rank for a keyword like this... ?

This is strange, maybe someone could explain to me why this happens,

Basically I found a keyword that has 4 million results when typed in google but when used with the allintitle: tag is comes up with 44 results, then with the quotes "." it gets 314 results, this keyword has 800 searches a month. How come it gets so much results when typed normally in google ? And will this keyword be easy to rank for even tho it has so many results when typed in google ?

From the sound of it, it sounds doable - its difficult to know without seeing for myself.. I dont think it matters hugely the fact that there are 4 million results - its the allintitle and quoted results that youre really looking for..What really matters is whether or not the top few results are optimised for this phrase.. if not, then yeah its doable - 4million results means it might take an extra week or two to rank compared to something that had only 500,000 results (whitehat way)


allintitle:keywords AND intext:"keywords" should give you a good idea of some of the other people doing seo for this keyword.

I would look at the top 5 results when you type it into google without quotes..

Do these pages have it in the title, kw density of around 3% or more, inbound links with reasonably similar anchor text and how many links does the homepage have?

This is the basics of how I would look at it. Personally Im a big fan of seoforfirefox as this enables me to judge the competition in a few seconds..

I use seoquake, is seoforfirefox better ?

The domain name is new, Its a keyword optimised domain name, I am going to install a wordpress blog and post articles including the keywords, like 1 article will have the keyword in the title tag, meta keyword tags, meta description tag, and 4% keyword density in each article. backlinks I still need to get, I also got a question about backlinks. how many should I get every day, to keep a naturally flow of backlinks coming in to my site not to raise any red flags with google?

Try using the search feature for the linkwheel. It can be found in the downloads section.

Basicly the method is about linking web 2.0 properties together which point to your landing pages. If you want, you could use the properties themselves as landing pages. You could mix in other tactics as well like article marketing, press releases, video marketing, podcast directories and others. Give it a try and let us know it goes.

looks doable to me.. I did it for a keyword having similar statistics and that too in a highly competitive niche... so I don't see why it can't be done....

FYI I used Bum Marketing .. the usual ezinearticles, usfreeads, etc. method
