    Hello everyone,

I just paid someone on fiverr to create 1000 wiki links to my site. With the new update and all, would that look spammy? Would it help my site rank higher? Any other information would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry I know I can find this out on Google but I have to run to work and I have no time to read up on it.

By the way, the site is just for an SEO competition we're having in class so it's not like I'm making money off of it. I just want to win the contest so I can get those extra credit points.

    Thanks for any replies!

Wiki links or specifically "wikipedia" links? I can't see wiki lins having a whole lot value right now as they are too easy to manipulate. But a "wikipedia" link would certainly help...even if it is no follow. thanks

I've seen a minor positive benefit from using wiki links but keep in mind this should only be on element of your seo strategy.
