How does Quora not get banned from Google?

Holy fucking shit. How does a pile of spam like Quora not get banned?

I think a shit ton of their Q and A's are auto-generated. How does that crap rank?

I just read a series of Q&A's and the crap I read is obviously 100% spam. I'd post the links here but I don't wanna give them a single click.

If any of us on this forum made something like Quora we'd get penalized instantly. How do they get away with it??

Old domain, huge traffic, answering questions and answers why would they get banned even if it’s crap google doesn’t care just put content on aged authority site and it’ll automatically rank.?
 
Quora in a technical way is google lol just like google is quora. In google we search questions we get answers. Similar is with quora xD
 
It is true that there are spam answers there but the the number of genuine detailed answers present on the site outweigh them.
 
Internet is no democracy. And quora belongs to the elite class.....................

I guess Google using Quora when they can't find reliable answers from authority sites to a particular query.

But the Quora partnership program is encouraging spam. Quora is using the users to mass generate questions to get gain Google traffic. Most of these long tail questions have no proper answer on Quora.
If we do that we will get banned. But bigger players like Quora can get away with most of these shit.
I hope google webspam team will have the balls to take some action in the future.
 
Quora has over 20,000,000 pages indexed on Google. Of those 20,000,000, at least millions of them have extremely detailed original correct answers with thousands of words each and proper citations, many of them with relevant images and video added. No, none of us are getting penalized if we get a site like that online.

I am part of the partner program and I have posted 8,000 questions. Thousands of them have highly detailed and relevant answers that are NOT spam. It's VERY rare for my questions to attract spam. Like, I would say less than 1 in 20 questions get an answer from a spammer. Quora actually has a rule against posting questions that are likely to attract spam.

So, questions like "Where do I download..." or anything related to CBD or weight loss or SEO are very likely to attract spam, and you can get flagged by Quora and warned/banned. It's mostly automated. Sometimes those questions do really well, sometimes they get you in trouble. But questions like "What was Adolf Hitler's motivation..." or something are not going to attract spam, they are going to attract detailed answers from history buffs. I have a question related to World War 2 with over 15,000 words of detailed responses and it gets updated with fresh content added every few days.

Certainly quora help ppl to take decision and google love it.
 
There definitely are some spammy content on quora but most times i still get good and genuine information from there too. I guess its a tale of two world.
 
Their Alexa rank has gone from 82 to around 280 so the spam questions have been costing them.

Google/YouTube has different standards for smaller/bigger sites/accounts/portals.
