Clickbank is all ebooks, internet services and software. There is a lot to it, but it's all online... How does it compare with other affiliate networks??

Since most other affilate networks have shitty tracking (thats not to say clickbank doesn't have issues sometimes) most people wind up using it because there are so many different products you can promote.

You can always use amazon or ebay and there are a ton of private products that have private affilate programs where the payout can be $500 or higher.

I think it all depends on what your doing. I personally do pretty well on clickbank with the methods I use. I tried applying these methods to other CPA networks and products and the result was very disappointing.

Anyways, I like clickbank, they've been more reliable than some of these other "new networks" in recieving payments.

Clickbank has some serious...cough, cough "tracking" issues. They also have a few business practices such as financially penalizing "dormant" accounts that are borderline unethical. That being said I've found that they always pay on time and they do have quite a few products that are easy to sell. Another "hot" CB topic is their VERY liberal return policy. Some marketers claim that it allows buyers to rip them off too easily because they can purchase an ebook, read/copy it, then return it for a full refund. Other affiliates believe the return policy builds trust with the buyer and relieves their fear of making an on-line purchase...who knows? Try and pick a product to sell with a nice commission...$40 and up.

I've been away from CB for several months and in that time I've done a lot of research on them. From everything I've read it seems to be common knowledge amongst those that know what they're talking about that anywhere from 25% - 33% of your CB sales will not get credited to you. I didn't know that when I started. That's why you need a good commission. If you have a product that sells well and you're earning aprox. $40 per sale you should still be able to make good money.

How do you return a clickbank ebook? You attach it to an email and promise to throw out the original? Or does one just complain about the product and get their money back (and keep the ebook)?

I personally feel it depends upon the work you are performing. My methoda works really well on citibank products. You can contact me for more details regarding this.

I've heard this too... and even after a limited time there I've noticed that there are strange 'trends' to the sales. I'll get a spike in hits on a particular item, it'll be converting relatively predictably... then the sales will just drop off while the clicks remain the same.

Doesn't make sense unless they started skimming.

dayumm... that's a BIGGGGGG % to lose to "tracking issues"

Borderline "unethical" - good definition - clickbank set 50% hold rate on my account for "excessive returns" LOL -I am an affiliate, not a vendor. I cannot control the quality of the product or the behavior of the buyers.

I just opened another account...

I was disappointed when I signed up for ClickBank, I thought it would be more professional. Just a buncha squeeze pages and get-rich-quick crap.

I guess if you are into that stuff, it's not bad. Looks like a lot of high commission rates...

CJ and LS seem to have a lot of the larger retailers though.
