Clickbank has some serious...cough, cough "tracking" issues. They also have a few business practices such as financially penalizing "dormant" accounts that are borderline unethical. That being said I've found that they always pay on time and they do have quite a few products that are easy to sell. Another "hot" CB topic is their VERY liberal return policy. Some marketers claim that it allows buyers to rip them off too easily because they can purchase an ebook, read/copy it, then return it for a full refund. Other affiliates believe the return policy builds trust with the buyer and relieves their fear of making an on-line purchase...who knows? Try and pick a product to sell with a nice commission...$40 and up.
I've been away from CB for several months and in that time I've done a lot of research on them. From everything I've read it seems to be common knowledge amongst those that know what they're talking about that anywhere from 25% - 33% of your CB sales will not get credited to you. I didn't know that when I started. That's why you need a good commission. If you have a product that sells well and you're earning aprox. $40 per sale you should still be able to make good money.
