How does changing external links affect ranking

That does have a negative affect on rankings.. You will definitely drop in rankings.

If you know what your doing though, its not an issue. Just will take some more time and effort to get back to where you were in SERPs.

Yep. It can take some time to build rankings for something different. But if you know what you're doing then it's fine

you would do the same thing you have been doing to get to where you are currently at in the SERPs as of now..

Well if your not earning what you would like to earn or feel that you can direct traffic to a better offer that will convert better then by all means go for it. I always direct my traffic to different offers.

Yes It is just a hiccup that happens when you change the URL in the description. It's not impossible to overcome at all. It just takes some time to get back to were you were on the SERPs. Should only take a week or too. If it takes longer then you will have to do the same thing you were doing before to speed up the process.

Sometimes you don't need to even touch the video after you've edited the description as long as its just a URL change and it will soon crawl back up in rankings. Other times you do need to give it a little push.

I always use a TDS so i don't have to change the links if i want to send the traffic to another site/place.
