How does a cloaker help prevent getting banned by an ad network?

I've never used a cloaker before. How does a cloaker help prevent getting banned by an ad network?

Is it correct that you put the cloaker in monitoring mode when the ad network visits your website? During this time, the cloaker logs all IP addresses, user agents, and fingerprints that access the page. Then, once monitoring is turned off, the cloaker displays the "clean" version of the site to any visitors matching those IPs, user agents, or fingerprints?

Which advertising network do you want to run your ads on? Facebook, Google, or something else?

As for Facebook, I can tell you that to start with, you just need to launch an ad with a blank page and a link to the website where you want to run the ad, because most likely your link will pass even without cloaking. I'm telling you this from my own experience, as we have many gray projects, such as cannabis stores, and moderation simply doesn't block them even without cloaking. But the problem with blocking is often in the ad itself, because Facebook checks it, and if you don't know how to bypass moderation and run such ads so that moderation doesn't see them, your ads will often be blocked.
 
Cloakers can show different contents to different visitors, among other features. So if you show content A to the ad reviewer and content B to your customer, you're not letting the reviewer see what you're showing the customers. Cloaking isn't just black hat though, you can prevent fraud do and tons of other things with it.

I am looking for a cloaker with recording mode. By that I mean when I switch on recording mode it records the IP address, user agent, browser fingerprint, and other metadata about the users and stores that in a database. Then later allows me to block people from those IP ranges, user agent, and fingerprints. Is there any cloker that does this? I am not looking for the cloakers which block ad reviewers using their proprietary database of information. This feature is important to me because I mostly use small niche adult ad networks and reviewers from these networks are not present in the major cloaking databases (as its most reviewers from google, facebook, and so on).

And which cloakers have monitoring mode? Because my understanding is that's not how cloakers work. Cloakers work by using proprietary databases of reviewers that the cloakers have gathered - not using information gathered by the user's web app.

I can't say for sure but there are some cloakers that offer a monitoring mode. But that doesn't mean they're using your web application's data-they're still relying on their own IP databases and behavioral filters.

yes you are right in monitor mode will shown the tricky version of your website to bots and then will show the clean version so in this way you can prevent being banned by having content that is restricted

Correct me if I'm wrong, but these tools you mentioned only affect the landing page of the AD being promoted, ensuring that an LP that would not be approved under Facebook regulations passes bot checks by detecting a clean/white page. If this is correct, I would like to know if you are aware of any systems that can do the exact same thing but with the creative content you want to promote. In various niches, I see creative content being promoted that would be impossible to get approved under Facebook's regulations, so there must be a system behind it that ensures it passes the bot checks and gets approved. Could you tell me anything about this?
 
If you want to avoid bans, the only safe path is to run ads that follow the ad network’s policies — get the right permissions, keep creatives and landing pages compliant, and choose networks that actually allow your vertical.

Yeah, that’s pretty much how it works. The cloaker learns who the reviewers are during monitoring mode, then filters them out later by showing a clean page. The main thing that matters is how accurate the detection is — some tools are hit or miss. I’ve been using Trafficshield recently that updates its reviewer data in real time, and it’s been solid so far.

Yeah, that’s pretty much how it works. The cloaker detects ad network crawlers or reviewers based on IPs, user agents, and patterns, then shows them a clean version of your site. Regular visitors see your actual landing page - it’s mainly about filtering who sees what.

Yeah, gotta agree on this one. Been running TrafficShield for a bit now and the detection accuracy is on point. Way fewer false positives compared to other tools I’ve tested. The dashboard’s clean too — makes it easy to monitor everything without digging through logs all day.
