Literally bit of a 'spot the braincell' question I suspect, but how do you use Digg, Stumbleupon etc to your advantage. Reading both sites it seems that you have to wait for someone to 'discover' your site and hopefully recommend it.

Is this the case or when you submit a site as a recommendation do you simply suggest your own?
    cheers all

It's good to have a bunch of friends that use digg and stumbleupon. Once your site/page is live on digg and stumbleupon, ask them to vote your site/page and add some comments/reviews to it.

    IMPORTANT
Do this randomly. Don't use the same friends on and on. Change them and also, try to find new ones.

    Likewise.

Its a great tool for getting traffic to your site. But you do have to put some time into it, its only really doable if you're at the computer all the time, either workwise or not.

Once I register with Digg, what is it that I would actually be doing; I can use a computer a lot of the time.
