    Hello guys,

Last couple of months I haven't done any work on my websites. I already have established websites that make me enough money to live off but lately my motivation have been zero. Haven't published any content at all for last 2 months, all I do "work wise" everyday is checking how many sales i had that day, which take 5 min.

I would like to get some tips on how to get the fire and motivation I once had when I was starting out affiliate marketing. How do you guys keep staying motivated years after years?

On a serious note, I treat everyday like a brick that I am lying down to build a foundation, a pillar... and be the only person who can have control of my life, look at some things you want to acquire, then imagine being 45 regretting that you didn't get those things... Get back to work ;)

give all your wealth to the poor, leave just enough money for a month
rinse and repeat this every month, it will keep you motivated

or just find an expensive hobby like having a wife/gf

Set realistic goals and go towards it. Driving from Seattle to LA at night trusting the headlights will reveal the road to you 200 meters at a time is a realistic goal. Setting a goal to drive from NYC to London at night, without headlights or a life jacket and aiming to cover that distance in 5 hours is, well, unrealistic. Telling yourself you can do it would be something that would demotivate you. Keep it realistic and go towards it. Calculate tailwinds and set goals accordingly if you think you need the push.

This is GREAT advice! Something I will always keep in mind, we tend to forget "common sense" or the things we hear alot...

I just keep it simple. Although I go through my slumps like everyone else, it is important that you are able to look back and see you have accomplished something.

Lately I have been moving my work around, instead of sitting at a desk, Ill sit on my bed, at the kitchen table, on the living couch, etc. As weird as it sounds, I get a lot more done.

Theres one problem I find with giving to the poor. When you keep giving to the poor they are motivated to stay poor and develop a sense of entitlement and to never want to earn a living. You give to charities and they want to keep the poor poor so that they can stay in business. Not many charity cases have come out successful in life. You ask what the fuck he's doing it with his life and he has one thing to say, he grew up in a poor background and the charities neglected him. What the fuck happened to all the money I paid? I was only keeping him alive? I think its bad to fuel charities, or the poor. feeding them once in a while is ok though.

Lately I have been handpicking kids in school from poor backgrounds, we got plenty of them in India and I have been taking care of their educational expenses, books, clothes, fees and passes for transport. I don't give them stipends or food money as that would lead to a sense of entitlement and the little fuckers won't learn the meaning of gratitude. And I have told them and the schools very clearly if they don't attend class or perform well in their exams their 'scholarship' goes away. I'd probably employ them once they are done with their stuides, setup a twitter farm maybe and let them run it, but I want them to get better, get decent jobs and make some money and pay taxes and pay their dues to what they have taken from the govt in their early lives.

Thanks for all the tips. However I do have goals and that is to make more money from my websites but the problem is I'm lacking motivation to do anything.

Its so easy to get comfortable with what you have.

When I first started I had a hunger to make money online that I dont have anymore.

Stop your work and Meditate. Close your eyes for some moments - might feel like hours but in actuality, few minutes - think about what you envision in life. Gear up immediately and for the betterment of future!

why not just leave those sites do what they're doing (if they're already doing good) and try new things where you aren't that comfortable yet? where you will face problems in the first time for sure and you need to solve them, maybe that's what you enjoy doing

or what methods do you use to drive traffic to your sites? X? Y? both? why not try Z too?
how many sites do you have? why not double, triple the amount?
what niches do you cover? why not expand on those?

you can open a journey thread and update it regularly

you just need a little push which would take you out of your comfort zone

    Develop a more expensive taste.

2 months of not working really says that you're happy with what you're getting. Most people start off very motivated because they're struggling financially or with self-actualization. You're in the second phase where the struggle is over. Now you just really need to want more.

The third phase would be struggle of thinking where to invest all your money in.

I think hunger is first motivator in the life. Try to achieve something for your body for example, start training and when the blood starts moving faster next months you will get the motivation again.
    My 2 cents.

That's true, when you work online, everything is virtual. In fact, we really don't do anything. Maybe that's why our are brain warns us with the lack of motivation.
I think motivation should come with meeting people, discussing of your projects regularly. When you meet and discuss for real there is a hormonal exchange that doesn't happen on skype for exemple.
We are social beasts, and social media is faking this. At the end we feel useless.
Go real, meet, drink coffee :)
