I see a lot of screenshots on here of people making anywhere from $800/month to $5k/month, so my question is, how do you guys spend your money? What have you learned from budgeting your online income that you could share with a newbie?

usually 70% of the profit will go to escalate the methods for more profits

that's my way

i split and spend my money for family, health/insurance, reinvesting, traveling, saving.

Typical month nowadays (consistently changing, but what can you do):

Income: ~$9,000 after the tax man and 401k man gets some of my day job income (rounding). Sometimes it's a little lower, sometimes it's a LOT higher.

Where it goes (also rounding):

GENERAL EXPENSES
$850 for rent, water, sewer, trash
$100 for electricity
$200 for my wife's car payment
$800 for groceries/misc
$400 for eating out and entertainment
$150 for gas and vehicle maintenance
$500 for other various expenses
TOTAL: $3,000

BUSINESS
$1,000 to business taxes
$1,000 to general business expenses
$500 to miscellaneous business expenses
TOTAL: $2,500

SAVINGS, ETC
$2,000 to money market/investments
$500 to emergency fund (up until December, when the fund reaches six months of expenses. Then that additional $500/month goes to money market/investments)
$500 towards my wife's student loans (don't have to start paying yet, just being proactive)
$500 towards a nice vacation
TOTAL: $3,500

I probably spend the bulk of my money on none of your fucking business. Then the rest I usually save for head the other direction with that horseshit.

Thanks for the legitimate response, man. You've given me some good guidelines for setting my own budget at the moment

More important than anything else is to live below your means. If you make $5k a month and spend $5k a month, sure you will live lavishly, but if you spend $3k a month you'll live just fine and have $2k to save and give yourself the peace of mind knowing that you are safe in case of a dried-up method or a business closure or a layoff. It's definitely a good anxiety reduction.

Great response! Do you by chance use quickbooks self employed? I been in business for 8 months and just registered an LLC. I have a friend who makes great money with his business and he uses quickbooks and sends it to turbotax ever quarter. Thanks
