Hey guys,

I happen to be a teen that has a little success in the internet marketing world.. although I'm not enjoying it optimally because of my spending habits. I always have enough but I just keep spending. It's because I rack disciprin when it comes to saving money.
Everytime I start saving up a little I keep touching it.

So my question is for me and maybe alot more people..
How do you save up money other than a savings account?

I hope you guys have some creative tips/tricks/advice :)

The best way is to do automatic saving .

Yeah but it's really attractive to touch it. And it's nice to be able to touch it in emergencies.

I was thinking about investing in gold through an app like 'BUX' or bitcoins? What do you guys think? If the gold way would be decent to invest in.. would you advice another site/app?

By saving up money.

Well i think a simple trick is save before you spend, put 5$ into your bank doesn't matter what. You can easily save $1k3 per year.

Simple - PAY YOURSELF FIRST
Same way the IRS will take money from your salary before it even gets to your account
You can set up an account that takes X% of the money before it reaches your bank account and send it to a savings acc that you cant touch contact your bank for more info

invest that money somewhere where it will be safe? People spend a lot when they have easy access to money. Credit cards, paypal balance etc. If you put that money elsewhere like in banks, funds etc. then you won't have access to that cash and then you won't have to worry about spending.

I think I'm just gonna invest in gold/silver coins. Since I'm not really looking to make big profits.

Cryptocurrencies, like Bitcoin could be a wise choice. They don't have a lot of appliances right now, so it would be hard to spend them fast and they could serve you as a saving account/risky investment.

It will serve you better to teach yourself self disipline instead of trying to find ways around it. There will be times where you'll need to save off the money you live from (salary, IM, whatever) in order to pay bills, rent, mortgage etc.
you better learn it while it's still easy and you have a safety net.

Control your impulses and grow up -- adult-ing means saving.

simple tip: Dont buy shit you dont need.

Round down your income and round up your expenses, was you salery for example $550 this month? then just think you've made 500.
do your bills add up to $340 this month? then just think of it as $400 in bills, simple shit and has helped me save tons.

get rid of unnecessary expenses, like a phone or sim contract that offers more then you need, get cheaper insurance etc etc. even if it's just a bit it still adds up.

At my previous job whenever i got my tips I used to take all bills above 10 Euros and put it away to save up, the rest I put in my pocket to spend, i managed to save up about 500ish euros in 6 months from only those tips (I had other savings too). and i didnt miss the money while i was saving it.

Well I have an account that can only be withdrawn thru the counter with a bank teller. Restricted to ATMs so I won't be touching that easily anytime soon.
Make a monthly challenge also to yourself to keep a specific amount and try to check it at the end of the year how much you've made.

Have an emergency fund and just save a little bit every day. Everyone starts somewhere

1. You don't need to have expensive clothes.
2. Don't give money towards online games.
3. Don't buy junk food or food at all outside of home.
4. Remind yourself why you want to save money.
5. Keep in mind that once money is spend you can't spend it anymore.
6. Instead of spending dollars, make them work for you.
