How do you rank articles on parasites?

Hello all,
I have published a top notch article on Forbes pointing to my site. So far whatever I read is you just need to publish a good article on these parasites and they will rank without backlinks. But this doesn't looks tobe true now. It's been more than 2 months and the article is not even in top 100 so far. I am not sure what's wrong here. The article is written by top native writer from here optimized with surferseo package. I have spent good amount on article and then on forbes to get it indexed. The backlink is visible in my search console. But I am looking for ranking parasite article on top to pass on traffic to my site through contextual links.

So, how do you get the parasites rank for the target keywords?

P.s. : my target keywords in article have KD from 30 to 45.

Parasite articles will rank if you are able to index them a few minutes after it is posted.

Your keyword difficulty tool is lying to you.

Forbes has the "big publication effect" on serps and whatever shit they write gets pushed to the front page if it's low to mid difficulty.

The keywords you are targeting are likely very competitive or Google is manually targeting and deranking Forbes articles in certain niches.

I can't think of another reason why a Forbes article won't rank in the top 10 otherwise.

Try using the same websites that rank for your target keywords. If you search your target keyword and you see in the result that Forbes is not ranking, don't use Forbes, use the site that is ranking.

Unfortunately I am not in a position to trial and error due to cost involved. Due to budget constraints I targeted costliest of all parasites and settled with Forbes.

Well in that case ahref and semrush are lying. Both had given mid rating for the KD.

And exactly is what even I was assuming that throwing and article in forbes which is indexed will get automatically ranked in top 10. Yet here I am. Unlucky I guess!
 
It's strange that forbes dosen't rank for this type of keyword.
Maybe your article does not match the user intent.

If your article is optimized for the keyword you're trying to rank, you can try to send some backlinks.
 
Did you manually check the top10 articles ranking in first page instead of blindly trusting the KD from Keyword research tools?

In the original post, it is not stated that he indexed it in minutes, it only says that he indexed it. There is a big difference between just indexing and indexing within mere minutes after posting.

I'm not shure, but from what I heard in Chiang Mai from top level SEOs, the process is:
- Find a topic that the website (Forbes in this case) is not ranking
- Build around 10 articles about the topic (with internal linking and direct match anchor)
- Then start doing linkbuilding for those pages (as agressive as you can, including fiver spam links)
- After that you might see some results
 
I don’t think it still works.
Google knows the parasite tricks. Even Usmagazine that people paid thousands of dollars, wont rank shi* like typical it suppose to do straight into page 1 in under 2 hr after published.

Unless you can do
Forbes.com/exact-keyword-here
Not Forbes.com/sub/sub/keyword
 
The problem is someone else did an article on the same niche as you on forbes and google prefers that over your article. I can almost guarantee this is the issue. If you do a new niche it will rank immediately but if it is competitive google must chose which of the many forbes articles on "vpn" for example it should rank.
