As we all know, Internet marketing involves sitting in front of a computer for extended periods of time. And what this does is obvious, it worsens our eyesight.

After seeing some good reviews I bought Gunnar glasses, which unfortunately did not help me. I have even downloaded a few ebooks explaining how to correct vision by exercising eyes but I am not sure if it works or not. What I noticed though, is that the exercises really relax my eyes, which feels very good.

The best solution that I have found so far is a software called Workrave. It just blocks my computer like a content locker forcing me to take breaks every now and then. Still, sometimes I turn off the program in order to work a little more. I have set it to block my PC every 40 minutes for 10 minutes.

Honestly, I can feel my eyes getting worse every year and I am thinking about getting glasses the following month.

So I was wondering what you do to protect your eyes? Do you believe in correcting eyesight by doing eye exercises?

My eyes are shot but worse than the PC screens is the damage that is done by exposure to heavy spells in the sun when not wearing top quality shades with genuine UV protection...

So you need to watch the time on the PC and out in the sunlight...

Definitely downloading that program now. At the moment, I use F.lux (it adjusts the computer display's color temperature according to the location and time of day, based on a user specified set of longitude and latitude geographical coordinates). Also, every 30 minutes I focus on an object far away from me for about 20-30 seconds. Now I will incorporate Workrave into the mix! Hopefully my Gunnar glasses actually have an effect on me (ordered them 2 days ago).

You should ALWAYS use anti-reflective glasses when you seat before PC, drive car, etc.

Hmm.. I will try turning down contrast, I had it on 80%. My brightness is on 30%, which is the lowest I can go.

I went to my eye doctor (sorry don't the technical term of it lol) and she told me that if you use flat LCD screen and if you sit higher than the screen it is all good.

I asked for glasses to rest my eyes she said no need for that! Don't take it as granted for the world, but it made sense at least for me.

You must have a rest with your eyes in every 1 hour and focusing on a distanced objects as a buildings or trees when watching through the window. Also it's good to blink often when you are on the PC.

You could try Gunnar glasses. Comes in both rX and normal glasses. Usually sponsors games/players in the esports industry.
