How do you guys make money on Instagram?

Okay, I have seen this question posted before in this forum, but I've never seen any solid answers. I have been using Instagram for about a month now and I've racked up 7,000 followers. I know that this isn't enough to monetize yet, but I really would like to know for future purposes.

That being said, what do the users of BHW do when to make money on Instagram? I've read success stories about people making over $500 a day, and I would like to reach a fraction of that if it's possible.

Note: I am very new to this "money-making" and I'm not very sure what CPC or any of those other acronyms mean or how to set them up.

Pushing CPA offers, etc... Go read some thread and learn, as you said you don't have enough followers to monetize yet but if you don't learn what CPC, CPA, etc... you are gonna have a bad time later on.
 
It all depends on the audience that follows you, whether it's targeted around a single niche or multiple once.
 
dont believe what u read man all that talk is just lies and with that many followers u wont make much at all try to get more followers and target them if u can u will make more with followers from the us uk ca au if they are frm other counties u will make pennies good luck
 
I have 20k followers and I sell shoutouts for 25$ each. Made 80$ in 3 days, not very much but there's really no hard work in this. Also bought 70% of my followers :p
 
Depends, sometimes i sent people an email, sometimes eBay
 
$5 for a shoutout on my 12k account. About 4/5 shoutouts a day.

$500-1000 a month on my clothing label 56k account.
 
Instagram is like most social networks in concept, but different features. Its not as simple to post links or send private messages ect. Also its mostly used on mobile devices. Op is asking for a legitimate monetizing method for instagram, most likely a direct marketing method. I would imagine what works for similar sites(twitter and or pintrest) might work on instagram since its a combination of the two, plus some other unique features, using a few twists of course. I am interested also in what methods people use for IG
 
Most effective monetization I've seen is promoting real brands, apps, and such. The thing is you can generally not get anyone to buy shoutouts and stuff if you are a smaller account or if you have a network of smaller accounts.

The best monetization I've seen for someone who didn't have a nice, big, pretty account was selling fake followers to people thirsty for Instagram fame. Had a sharp website, domain, etc, and just made shoutouts that were creative about his site on all of his accounts.
 
wow! interesting guys insta account at foxolyalyaa she offered me 250$ per post 1.1 m followers in her account. But one advantage is her post most of the time hit the pop page, i think you need a more real followers to make a more money on Instagram
 
a lot of real followers, understanding of cpa/cpc and applying it to your account's niche which people follow you for, advertise it well and boom from what i get on the threads that ask this. only this is i don't have the followers..yet
 
Incredible, I'll try to earn money on instagram too, someday. Just don't know how I'm gonna get 20K followers yet :D

The key is REAL followers. Not those BS bot followers that people pay for. You can have 100,000 followers but if 95,000 of them are fake bot followers then you really only have 5,000 followers that are even paying attention.
