Pretty straight question. I've been learning IM for a couple of years (was a lurker before I made an account). My main target area is amazon affiliate niches and I have built quite a bit of them but never turn out well. At the beginning I did learn new stuff from my failures which was good, but now it just seems it's stalled and it's the same results over and over again. It gets pretty discouraging when I don't see a new project gain more success from the last.

My biggest website is two years old and does make money. When I say makes money I mean around $50/month. Isn't a lot but it's something. I've tried working on it but it seems it's not getting any better and I am just wasting resources on it.

I've read a lot on this forum of other IMers say they had a lot of bad websites before they had their break through one and figured out what they needed to do to make a website become successful. But how long would that be? Obviously it would vary between people, but is there an limit of when I should just give it up and move on to something else?

Small earnings and results is key for me to keep working.

$50 month means you need 60 more niches to make $100 a day. I don't see the problem here sir.
Keep building your empire.

when it comes to IM...you have to be dynamic!
try out some more money making tricks! there are a lot of money making threads here!

You've got a lot more to do... You have to be constant...

I have personally had many big issue with which I moved and continued to fight for my family and for a better tomorrow.
Simply you have to fight, to work hard every day, to spread your knowledge.
I personally find motivation in my results that I achieve, also a huge motivation is my family.

That $50 should keep you motivated! As said above, all you need to do is to use the same tactics and create 10 or 100 more sites making $50. I had the same issue a while ago, trying to make it with less sites as many of the big gurus say you only need one site to make lots of money. Well, althogh it might apply to some of us, others make it work with hundreds of smaller sites.

Spend less time learning different strategies and new ideas and more time doing something that actually makes money. when you are already making enough to get you buy through the month, then you can take some time off to focus on new and unknown stuff.

I think out all other people that work hard for some dollars, whatever if you need more money you will keep working, if ur not motivated i guess you don't really need them

You asked about motivation.

More generally, motivation is a byproduct of the collective sum of variables that all add up to well-being.

Lets use the analogy that apple pie = motivation and apples = money. If I put 3 apples in front of you how motivated would you be to eat them? Not that motivated. But if I sliced those apples up and mixed in brown sugar, corn starch, cinnamon, nutmeg, a few chunks of butter ... threw all this into a pie crust... baked at 450F for 40 mins..... then placed a warm apple pie in front of you..... how motivated would you be now?

I'd say pretty fucking motivated.

The POINT I'm making OP is you're intently focused on $$$. But money isn't what actually motivates people. You need physical health, mental health, work, play, vacations, golfing, fishing, relationships, family, women, sex... a well balanced life that fulfills all your most innate desires. The marketers on here working 14 hours a day might say they're fulfilled but I don't believe that for a minute.

The most motivated people are those who love their lives. When you love your life you love yourself you love most things you do and that's where true motivation comes from. It's more simple than most people think.

I find the more I focus on those things the more motivated and effective I am with IM. But when I allow myself to be consumed by greed, thinking greed is what should motivate me, I always find myself less motivated.

making a new site and let it have a good rank in google is really needed much time and energy, what you should do i think is to keep learning all the time, new things are more attractive to someone usually

Motivation comes from within. It's not calculated by the amount of money you generate monthly.

All you need to do to stay motivated is to keep all your goals intact. Otherwise, you'll begin to fall away from your ventures and become lazy. (This has happened to me more than several times before )

Don't get discouraged though. Just keep expanding your current methods - you'll get to your ultimate goal one day or another.

To not worry about money anymore once I reached my target age :)

I believe anyone can reach success if you just work hard enough and have some realistic goals. I've seen so many silly ideas make millions, its just how you work at it to achieve your objectives :)

Motivation, inspiration, fuck that.

Perspiration is where it is. Work harder than you can even think. Make it work.
