How do you guys keep fit when in lockdown?

Don't mean to burst your bubble but the number of abs you have is genetic. You don't grow new muscles by doing crunches - even though that's what the fitness gurus have led you to believe.

You get abs by having a low body fat. Training abs will make them more prominent, sure, but low body fat is the first step.

If Arnold couldn't get an 8-pack through hard work, unless you have them genetically, you won't be able to either. That's just how things go.

Here's Arnold's 4-pack:

Yep!
usually, abs are visible mainly through diet. You can build massive abs as much as you like unless you shave off your layers of fats you wont see it.

Source: been there done that.

Few things I do:

Intermittent fasting: 16/8 method (keeps caloric intake low)

10-20 minute online yoga videos: in YouTube I type "20 minute yoga for X" or "20 minute yoga after Y"

Body weight workouts: google HIT body weight workout . This stands for high intensity. They suck for if they are only 30 minutes it is not so bad.

Run.

Fitness gurus and infomercials have brainwashed society.

Even though I have abs, they're overrated by the average person. I haven't done a crunch in years.

Remember you spend most of your life in a t-shirt. No one can see your great abs. If you train for aesthetic reasons, looking good in a t-shirt comes from round shoulders, big arms, popping traps, wide back, narrow waist for a proper v-taper.

If you really want abs, you'll get them as a byproduct of training compound movements and fixing your diet.

This wouldn't maintain muscle, maybe a small amount of muscle, but if you're used to deadlifting and squatting RPE 9+, body weight stuff won't maintain your legs for months. I have access to a garage gym at the beach, but a lot of the girls I date don't and they are complaining about losing their butts even though they're training at home

A barbell with 2.5x your bodyweight in plates is really all you need.

true but I doubt it will be months. Maybe one more. I think by using harder calisthenics though, full body you’ll maintain or even come out stronger due to the break.
I’m assuming op and many can’t get a home gym, even if I built one the weights arent available anyway.
Just pick movements that you’re not strong enough to do yet and build toward them, as opposed to just banging out hundreds of easy pushups/squats.

Ontario just added another month. It will be a while for sure. Trudeau said to be prepared for a year of this.

I'm ordering a LTL right now with equipment on it. I'll have about 5 tons to sell to my buddies and I'm sure you could do the same. Easy money. Make a quick $5k and help everyone out.

Interesting, I was planned to move to thailand April 1st but clearly didnt happen, if they dont reopen Im going to move anywhere that does reopen probably. Hopefully NY gets it together, Canada can go a year bc they are giving you guys money, people here in NY will die of starvation and go bankrupt, so I doubt we go months.

Interesting on the weights. Most all my friends have set ups honestly at home. Im trying to spend all my time on learning new skills.
Im letting my roommate who's out of work build our first order and keep all the money btw good looks.
I dont wanna make money off my friends I want to "help them out" so that they owe me favors ha. Be benevolent during the crisis and command loyalty afterwards.

Yoga, kettlebells (you can still order these) and burpees.

Simple, fast, effective
