Hey guys, I hope everyone is doing great. Need some help on a stupid issue I am facing with Snapchat.

So, I worked my buns off and built some decent audience for my snapchat accounts in the last 1 month. I have got over 5 different accounts with over 2000 friends on each account. The initial plan was to promote affiliate links but my plans got crashed last night.

So, Snap literally wants you to post a link, it loads the preview of the URL and then allows you to attach the link. The problem here is, whenever I paste my affiliate link, it gets redirected to the landing page of the offer while loading the preview and then it gets attached to the snap. This literally means no tracking, no conversions.

I tried domain forwarding for cloaking the Url and to avoid this issue but whenever I do that Snapchat gives me error message: net::ERR_CLEARTEXT_NOT_PERMITED

I have tried mentioning the URL on my posts as text but the conversions are really low. I mean come on, who wants to type a whole URL to visit an unknown website? Swiping up is smooth and requires no efforts right?

What are my solutions here?

I too have been wondering this. If I figure it out il come back and tell you lol

On your landing page, you link to the offer with url that you got from cpa network or you shorten it?

I mean, does snapchat check only first url (which is your lander) and doesn't check what your lander links to or does it check links posted on landing page too?

Sorry, don't know how it works now, the thread is over 2 years old, probably changed, not into it any longer.
But in the past, snapchat just checked the first link, not what links are posted on the landing page. So they clicked the snapchat link, they seen ur landing page and there they had to click another Button like "click here to see whatever". When they clicked the button, the Cpa link from your network was opened.
