From my experience, first thing is set the profile up properly so it doesn’t look like a fresh throwaway. Then I usually drop 2–3 normal posts and leave it for a few days. Just scroll, watch reels, like some stuff to warm it up. After about a week, start posting 1 reel a day and stay consistent with it. Don’t stress about low views at the start, that’s normal now. Just keep posting and let it build.

I think it’s quite similar to building a TikTok account. You need to let Meta know exactly what topic your account focuses on. Use consistent hashtags and stick to just one main theme. Avoid posting about too many different topics on a single account. Instagram still favors high-quality visuals, so prioritize your design aesthetics and experiment with various types of content , photos, Reels, and Stories alike. Post frequently; consistency is key, you need to be posting continuously. Additionally, since Instagram is now integrated with Threads, you can leverage Threads to drive followers back to your Instagram profile.

You have to be consistent, and if you want steady growth, you need to pick a niche that you can create quality content in. Also focus on optimizing your profile, such as using an easily recognizable name, jumping on trending topics in your niche early, and engaging with your community, no matter how small it is at first
 
New accounts grow slowly because Instagram doesn’t trust them yet.

People treat growth like a content problem, but early on it’s mostly a data problem.
