Considering all the strict rules certain subreddits and Reddit itself have, I wonder how people here manage to successfully promote their websites to gain thousands of visitors overtime? Reddit users aren't friendly and they are quick to silence you and report you for the slightest self-promotion. Maybe I am just being too blatant about it, but it seems pretty hard to get solid traffic from Reddit with a new website. Looking forward to some of the replies regarding this topic.

Subreddit related + value providing question answers

basically say you provide a service that solves a pain point

you use another aged account (makers it look legit) to ask a question like how to solve this problem?

and then you reply/comment from account B some information + give value + slide your site link

It should look like you are helping them by suggesting a site you used to solve a similar issue in the past and not self promotion.

Having an aged account makes it look legit.

Make or adopt and grow a related subreddit is the method I see the most. Would love to see some experts chime in on this one.
Making your own subreddit? Seems very time consuming. I see people talking about having hundreds of Reddit accounts to promote their site, I don't think they make subreddits.

Seems like a great idea, especially when combining different old accounts with a lot of Karma. I am wondering how I could apply this to my sites. I am in the Quiz niche at the moment.

You asked for a way to promote and I gave you one of the more popular long-term methods. Nothing more nothing less. You make and grow a subreddit you make the rules as to what can be posted. Time-consuming for sure but worth it if that's the way you want to go for. If you're just looking for simple 'spam' and stick type of thing then yeah, there are better methods for you for sure that aren't nearly as time-consuming.

Write about how your product/service is about social justice. Redditors love their social justice. Write posts that over-generalize and hit on pathetic, bottom-of-the-barrel pain-points. Make memes that cater to the lowest common denominator, memes about social awkwardness, being lazy, eating too much, being broke etc. Talk about why everything should be free and why rich people are evil. Hate on Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk.

As you won't want to out your own website or niche, the best ways to figure it out that I know are these:
- watch your niche. Interact with the subreddits that are in your niche. In a few days you should see a pattern about what links stay up.
- replicate and adjust as needed.

Assuming that your website has some value, most likely there is a way to post it on reddit from time to time.

Some parts of the equation won't be out in the open, but one by one you can identify them.
Ohhh, and before anything check every subreddit rules. Sometimes that answer is out in the open. ;)

I see, sorry. I was mostly thinking about ways to get traffic fast by posting in places that are already active.

Don't forget about worshipping women and calling men creepy losers.

Having grown subreddits myself and speaking from my experience
Growing your own subreddits is the best way to go.

Create a subreddit in viral niche.
Go to Google trends, find current trends and post high quality and engaging viral posts.

Cross-post to related subreddits. Buy few upvotes and make it go viral.

I was able to grow my subreddits upto 100K in 2 months time.

Where you buy upvotes?

There is a couple ways you can do this. You can get a massive list of subreddits in your niche or related niches and interact with those subreddits. the general rule is 10 comments to 1 self promotion. The largest subreddits wont usually let you post anything until you've made a name for yourself. You might have to make a few hundred comments before they will let you post one link to your website but that large subreddit could have millions of users and could net you tens of thousands of visits to your site so its well worth it. You will most likely have better look with the mid sized subreddits around 100k subs. It won't drive in as much traffic but if you stack a whole bunch of those subreddits together, you get a metric fuck ton of traffic.
the long term solution and I think the better solution is to build out your own subreddit while promoting your website. You can make a post in your own subreddit and then crosspost that post from your subreddit to bigger subreddits. I think this actually goes over better with mods because you are using a reddit community instead of just shameless self promotion. People will naturally come over to your subreddit and check it out if the content is good. Some of those people will sub to your subreddit and thus building an audience that you can readily tap into. After a long enough time, you might not even want to fool with crossposting because your own subreddit might get you enough traffic.

I'm currently doing a Reddit journey if you wanna check what I am doing

Reddit is a tough cookie to crack, but I honestly believe that if you are successful at it, you won't have to worry about traffic again.

Wouldn't reddit guys report the website?

I have heard they are very strict and good at catching this

Also, is there a chance we can get high paying clients from Reddit?

I highly recommend doing this. If you have more accounts and few proxies it's gonna be even better.

You just need to provide real valuable information, never spam your links, and you will be golden!

+1 to this suggestion. Always recommended and works fine.
