It's actually easy to get traffic, i am getting traffic for my website. And i made it around like 100 hit daily from there without doing nothing. Good profile build up that you need, with links also. Also you can create a subreddit about your work and do some crossposts.

Nope, it doesnt matter actually. I created my account in August and started slowly, carefully to be not getting flagged. Now i can post easily almost every sub without any problem. Gained xx.xxx karma on my account. Just be patient and make it slow build without links.
