How do you find sites that actually accept guest post?

I've been trying to grow my portfolio as a freelance writer. I've written 5 sample pieces on my site and landed 1 guest post so far. (working in the Business, digital marketing, blogging, conversion optimization, SEO and writing niche)

However, that 1 post was made on a mediocre blog. And top dogs out there aren't open to me for the good reasons.

I'm planning to take the long road. Getting published on 10-15 mediocre blogs and then aim for the big ones.

But how do you suggest I find such guest posts? If you're going to advise Facebook guest posting group, then forget it. It's filled with all the gibberish sites out there.

Any tips for finding guest posts or improving my visibility is highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Easy footprint.

"submit guest post" + NICHE

and variations

Yes, I tried that. Most of the high DA blogs come up who aren't ready to accept my pieces... I guess I gotta look harder to find the mediocre ones. Thanks for bringing that up.

There are several websites I stumbled myself with, but if you're looking to get money from it I find that rather difficult, as it's indeed easier to make a portfolio in several websites before applying on a position for a fixed website.

No, I was only seeking for a stronger portfolio. You know of some business blogs that allow new writers to publish?

Mind inboxing me the names?

Yes! With all my pleasure, but are you looking for something specific? What I might have to offer are websites related with technology/cryptocurrency, is that what you like? It might take a while to take them, but I can help you with some strong links. Also, do you know Medium? It's a free website with a contribution system, it's very "fancy" and has good traffic, so you can improve yourself there and even become sponsored by Medium itself! It's a really good way to promote yoursef.

Ahh, thanks for offering the tech and crypto niches, but I'd stay more focused on business stuff I think.

And yes, I've been thinking about utilizing medium a lot lately. How did that go for you? Mind sharing?

+1 for the Medium idea. I have used that and gotten some good results. In the end, it is a numbers game dude. Just keep plugging away. Nothing wrong with starting off in some smaller blogs and working your way up.

You'll find some great websites. Not all search terms will fetch you enough websites. And, it's a bit of work. But done right, you will be able to post at least 4 to 10 posts every week.

Hope it helps. :)

Are the link on Medium do follow ?

Are the link on Medium do follow ?
That's subjective, completely dependant upon whom you are contacting. I suggest you use the Chrome extension "No Follow" to check whether or not links are do-follow or no-follow on particular pages.

Hope it helps! :)

Email the owners of blogs that you like and read and offer to write for them. Avoid sites that advertise guest posting. You end up competing with other writers. The sites that have nothing related to guest posts gives you an advantage.

I mean if you write an article on Medium and you place a link to your website, will be this link follow or no follow ?
