    Hi guys

When i make a post on wordpress that has images on it. When i click on those images, the larger version opens up a window with white background.

How do i make it so that the larger version of that thumbnail opens up on the same blog theme? So that i get that page impression?

    Like this:

First thumbnail in the categorie: http://www.uncoached.com/2011/06/01/elsa-pa****/

Click on any of the thumbnails in that post and it opens up in anther page of the site.

Sounds simple but i am a wordpress noob! lol

    Thanks in advance

Go to the site editor on your dashboard and change the background in the css. Personally though I'd just install the Shadowbox plugin and use that :D .

I'd imagine someone will give you a full rundown on how to edit the CSS, it's really easy once you know what you're looking for. If not, I'll take a look while I'm at work (bit late for me to do it tonight) and tell you in more detail.

    Thanks mate!

I had a look at shadowbox but that kinda opens up a ajax type of thing which is not what i am looking for. I want it exactly like it is on that site that i made referance too.
Its mainly too get extra clicks on ads/more page imprestion etc

But yeah, if you could give me a run through on what i have to do in the css that would be great! :)

Also, if theres another plugin that would be better as i'm lazy lol

    many thanks

Ah I see what you mean :) Well that might require a little more thought, and I really need to go to sleep, got work in the morning.

Possibly a feature of the theme (it says return to gallery at the bottom of the post), if it is a plugin I'd be quite interested to know which one too lol

Ok had a quick look around, had assumed it was a feature of the theme, but a quick look at the seashore theme confirmed that wasn't the case.

A brief look on Google however revealed that this is the most likely method he used to achieve it:

    <?php $gallery_shortcode = '[gallery id="' . intval( $post->post_parent ) . '"]'; print apply_filters( 'the_content', $gallery_shortcode ); ?>

Is that enough? Or do you need a bit more help? (Probably going to do something simmilar on mine, although I am a HUGE fan of Shadowbox - it displays external websites and videos, which is really useful for the sort of sites Im managing at the moment :D)

Thanks mate! Unfortunatly that code doesn't mean much too me as i have no coding experiance what so ever! lol I wouldn't know what to do with it...

But I will get my web designer to have a look and see what he can do for me.

I'm also from the UK by the way. I'm up in Edinburgh. :)

    Thanks
    Tony

Gotta admit I'm not the best at PHP either :D
I'd just go through the editor and search for 'gallery' till I found where I was meant to put it (making sure I made backups before hand just in case I kill the site lol), I'm guessing it just needs to replace the existing gallery code.
