Living in a world of blogging, LinkedIn Pulse, Medium, how do you distribute your content?

Here is my short list with actions for spreading the content to the world.

  • Influencer outreach - it's best to target what we call "micro-celebs", these are people with 1000 to 50,000 fans on Facebook, twitter, etc. We know we have a much better chance of getting ahold of these people, and can build a real relationship. Trying to get someone with a couple hundred thousand followers to repost your article may be a stretch.

  • Submit to Reddit - Only if you have big b***. Your content must be awesome for this to work. If you're producing a classic listicle, about "7 Things People Need to Know About SEO", then please don't put that on reddit.

  • Submit to StumbleUpon, Digg, etc. - This is where I'd submit medium quality content, IE. listicles. Submitting to StumbleUpon has generated tons of traffic for us and clients.

  • Post content on your personal wall, and tag all of your friends who may interested in the comments. This has proven to generate dialogue amongst your immediate circle. If the content is good, then Facebook will do it's magic and people will share your content further.

  • Repost on Medium, LinkedIn Pulse, etc. - I'd highly recommend posting content to LinkedIn Pulse. These posts should be ones that can tell a wicked story, and add value to the professional community. Also, you may get featured, which will drum up a bunch of followers and potential traffic to your site.

What do you think, blackhaters?

Sounds pretty interesting to me. How long you been working on it?

I clicked on this thread expecting it to be a genuine question, but alas, it's another "Oscilloskope" thread like the ones I've been seeing for exactly 2 weeks now.

At least ask an actual question next time. :ohwell:

By the way, I'm pretty sure self-promotion isn't allowed here.

After publishing the post on my blog, then it's a mechanical process. Maybe another 30' for sharing.

Hi, mate!

Thank you for your advice. Maybe I'm too focused on something, but the truth is that I want to share with you, guys, the lessons learned from my experiences. Hope you'll find this list useful.

Lol posting again and again the same thing is not the way to show your talent and curiosity.

I agree with you man! You are just wasting your time doing it over and over and over and over again. :P

Great tips, particularly regarding Stumbleon. Thanks for posting.
