Past few months I've found myself not really enjoying IM that much, and I haven't bothered much with improvements and just tried to keep it all from totally falling apart. Needles to say my income has dropped noticeably and while i'm not one of the high-rolling ceosams out there, even after this all I'm still making quite nice daily - still could be better, much better if I just had the drive I've lost to push more.

Just got myself a new house (IM f'yeah!) I get to move in in August, and due to the location I most likely have nothing else to do than work and get wasted, and in my current "condition" I fear it's going to be too much of the latter. I just have everything I could really imagine wanting, and everything "that'd be cool!" stuff like sports cars and boats just feel like too much of a work for such little gain. Oh #1stworldproblems...

So what do you others do to keep up the interest towards your work, and help you push yourselves even further?

5 HTP has really put a nice spark back with my life. It essentially increases the amount of serotonin in your brain very fast. You don't even have to be depressed to try it out, it just makes you a lot more motivated to do things. Give it a shot.

Try starting new projects. That`s what motivates me for a while :D.

hi there and thanx for this topic :)
every weekend i go with my girlfriend (actually unmarried partner) for mountain climbing.
we are not very good at that neither hardcore climbers, but we try to enjoy it and take some nice pictures for our collection.
Sometimes we go seaside also, and sometimes we join some hunters club and go with them to learn (we are on learning process so no guns yet)
If we got no time or are tired we stay home and cook together, drink wine and watch movies.
i believe that doing things together makes the bond between us stronger and we know each other better, also doing something different at weekends makes job easier to handle.
Today i am going nowhere since its my bday (30 YO) and friends and family are coming to visit me and we go out for dinner, but generally weekends im out of town.

Best wishes.
Leobar!

Maybe I'll look into this, although quick search doesn't reveal much more than 10yr old topics saying the stuff doesn't exist here. At least can get some from PI if there's not any in Thailand for some obscure reason.

Sounds way, way too cheesy for me. Thanks anyhow.

Hmm, Amazon has around 60 capsules for dirt cheap. Matter of a fact, I need a refill soon lol.

Medication is not the answer. Its just a drug like any other if you don't need it. And being addicted to prescription drugs is not fun...

Serious Question: How often do you get out the house OP? Got a Wife and kids?

2 things that will make you want to play a game over and over:

1. Find a competitor that better than you, and learn to beat him
2. Increase the level of your game

Not exactly a medication, even less a prescription drug from what I see. Supplement might be better term.

Daily, just don't know a lot of people around so I usually just end up having a dinner and few drinks and getting back.

Got a Wife and kids?
Thank God no.

I know my competitors, I just can't bother doing anything to get few last jumps when I'm already at #3 or #2 and that's enough overall.

Enjoy your future heart attack on that stuff. Do some research if you plan on taking it regularly.

That is such crap. It is an amino acid. I've seen people talking like that but I honestly do not believe it, I haven't found any studies supporting this theory and it has been on the market for over 20 years. So far there's no side effects other than me feeling incredible.

The same thing would happen if you switched your diet with something of a high serotonin diet.

Theres more research out there to help you if you are interested.

I'll take the chance. I can't afford to eat anything other than burgers and mashed potatoes all day and chicken cutlets on the rare occasion so you could say that I need to adjust my diet right? It astounds me how people can be so quick to go against something natural but be in support and content with consuming foods covered in toxins and antibiotics and growth hormones for starters. Surely those things aren't bad for you right? I'll take my chances with something that makes me feel good. And don't even get me started on cigarettes...

Wow you read those clinical reports fast !

Cardiac fibrosis...look it up. Unless you are taking a cocktail of enzymes and vitamins at the sametime it will weaken your heart valves within a year.

Probably just propaganda from its evil competitors like Prozac - that absolute trash that's handed out like candy. If I was someone working in marketing for Pfizer or the like I would definitely try and scare the public in to not trying 5 HTP. Especially since it's 10 million times better than any prescription anti-depressant can and will ever be.

The U.S. government if I recall correctly used to say that cannabis would give you brain damage and make you kill people and everyone believed it.

I honestly can not draw any sort of connection between increased serotonin in the brain and damaged heart valves. If this were true then eating an all organic based diet loaded with fruits and vegetables would eventually yield the same result (increased serotonin and dopamine and all the others) - which is completely ludicrous to even think about.

It's like striving to be healthy nowadays is unhealthy? Makes perfect sense with this Zoolander mentality going around in the West...

Well if you head over to reddit and go to r/nooptropics or just type in 5htp in the search bar you will find plenty of user experience stories that have not been stooled by big pharma. Sounds like great stuff, I wouldnt mind trying it but long term use of any chemicals will have some side effects.

Sorry to hijack your thread Oukast. I would recommend having goals. An acheivable short term goal that you should be able to reach within a specified time and a long term big goal that allows you to dream and visualise yourself in the future.

Take some yoga classes or try to be part of a team, I found out that everything works a lot better in a team, when you don't feel like it the other people drag you along and vice-versa :)
