How do you become REALLY rich!!

Just working hard won't make you rich!

Otherwise every hard working miner, nurse, teacher, garbage man would be rich.

I believe you need to read and specialize in an area, work SMART, plan and execute to become wealthy!

:)

Check out the millionaire fast lane! (hehe I keep recommending that book).

An expert is a person who has made all the mistakes that can be made in a very narrow field.

I think it teaches things no other book ever talks about.

Things like if the stuff people recommend and sell in their books (i.e rich dad poor dad) are the same methods/techniques they used themselves to build their wealth. If college really is worth the money. And the mathematical principles behind wealth. To name but a few things.

I can not recommend it enough! I'd say if you are serious about being rich/wealthy then it's def. a book you should read at least once.

i have an idea too but i dont have the kickstart money. do you guys know if kickstarter(.)com helps with business ideas?

I don't know really why, but I love your post OP. Very inspiring I think. I Will read it again! Thanks & rep given. I wish you all the best :)

I have been thinking about this for some time now. I have had $500 days and I have had $0 days too. I would feel HAPPY when I had the $500 days and very sad when I had the $0 days. But, what I realized was, no matter how much money I save or how good I invest it, I can never attain "financial freedom".

Financial freedom is the time when you really don't care about the money. You walk into any hotel or shop, buy or eat what you want, flip out your credit card and pay without even noticing the exact the bill amount (ofc we would look at the bill and pay appropriately even then, but i am talking about the idea of being completely free from the worries about money).

So what does it really take to become SUPER rich? After a lot of thought, i realized that what it takes is - One big hit! One BIG opportunity.

You may be willing to work 20 hours a day on small $50/days websites or $500/day websites. But, you still won't achieve the state of financial freedom that way. But, on the other hand, if you get an idea which you estimate to bring you $100k/ month or $1million/month, that is what will make you real rich.

I stumbled upon a similar idea recently while I was brainstorming with my brother. If everything goes as planned, I can setup a passive $100k/month income stream in almost 6 months. When you have that guy feeling that your idea is going to work, you should follow it. Because it is all worth it. I have many other projects going on which have $5k/month passive income potential but I know putting all my effort into the $100k/month idea is the right thing to do. That is why, I have made my brother incharge of the smaller projects.

I believe that is what everyone should do. Like they say, TAKE ACTION! Don't fear the consequences, just do it! But remember, do not test the depth of the water with both feet, meaning, don't put ALL your money into just one idea at any time. My this new project will be funded with $30k that i have spare after putting a lot of money into fixed deposts, other websites and stock market. You should always have safe money ( something to fall back upon incase everything goes down).

This is just my perspective of looking at things, so many may disagree with me or would like to add to it. I would really appreciate whatever you have to say or add. I like learning from other peoples' experiences and become more mature and seasoned.

In a nutshell (for the people with ADHD) - If something feels right in your heart, FOLLOW IT with all you got!!

Best wishes for you and your big plan. Most people have the basic idea that financial freedom requires many many years of a grind, this is false. When in fact all it truly takes is one great idea, lucid execution and indeed as you suggest 6 months.

Years ago I had a joint online offline 'financial freedom' plan which could produce a passive $50-$70 K monthly with about 10-15% monthly operations cost, and for me that was financial freedom enough. Investment was a little less than your 30K, and 6 months was in fact my corporate milestone. Different people have different levels of ambition.

Ensure your strategy is well planned Daserpent, and focus your proactive safety net on the areas of the business that you don't directly control. Those are the vulnerabilities which could undermine your plan.

Pay attention to this and good luck.

REALLY rich self made people are those who can predict what might go wrong in their business and plan for it before it happens. That's much easier said than done, but if you factor this into your planning you'll succeed and survive. Humility during success is also advantageous.

Your idea of financial freedom is flawed. How does being able to act like a fat cat = financial freedom? You can obtain financial freedom with not so much money just by learning better money management. Trust me you do not want to get to that stage of thinking of money as toilet paper because sooner or later its going to cause you problems. You will also lose the rush of even working hard and valuing money. We should see money as a tool, yes we should try to accumulate as much as we possibly can but we should be investing wisely not only your for your own future but for the benefit of others and the community around you.

I vouch for The Fastlane Millionaire. Definitely a must read book for aspiring entrepreneurs wanting to retire young and very rich. I like your mentality OP!

Hard work will get you there. I have realised this more and more over the years and its one of the most valuable things I have learnt.

Your accusation that the OP's idea of financial freedom being flawed I feel is flawed.
The Op expressed ...

"Financial freedom is the time when you really don't care about the money. You walk into any hotel or shop, buy or eat what you want, flip out your credit card and pay without even noticing the exact the bill amount (ofc we would look at the bill and pay appropriately even then, but i am talking about the idea of being completely free from the worries about money)."

I think we all know what that means, but if uncertain he further clarifies, "I am talking about the IDEA of being completely free from the worries about money"

Accordingly accusing him of wanting to 'act like a fat cat' I think is misplaced. Again we all know what he means about being free from the worries about money.

I do agree completely with your advice regarding wise investing.

I already act the way the OP was talking about. I whip out my bank card and just buy shit without looking at the price in the store. Always the supermarket, I buy all other items on line.

Buts its meant my card has been declined way too many times to even mention. lmao

You must be a girl in that case... :D

1. Determine how to work as smart as possible(get degree in Accounting or something)
2. Then do that, and work harder and longer than everyone else
3. Live way under your means, saving 50% of your income
4. Buy rental properties or dividend stocks
5. Add side businesses

If you think that money's freedom come with careless expenses, you'll end up broke in a year or 2. You need to be as cautious on different scale but still.

I know many who cashed a lot and a couple of months later got broke as hell.

You guys should read up on Pinterest Founder's story. He was doing small apps and many of his ideas were big failures, he kept moving forward and did what he loved and he nailed it big now (so much so that it is valued much more than twitter as it brings better Quality Referral Traffic). Sometimes, what we love might turn sour (just like in real relationships) so when the journey gets tough or hopeless, we got to get hopeful and tough as well and we will make it big too.
