How do warnings affect your account?

Hey guys, I keep getting warnings for my posts. I really haven't tried to sell anything but some experienced members are reporting my posts. I notice they do this to others too. The main thing they are worried about is selling. Well I can tell you I'm here because I need money and I never sold anything online before so why start here today? Really I'm just trying to learn. So how do you avoid all of the reporting by other members? How are you connecting if you can't ask for PM? Seriously why not just help people instead of being so suspicious of spammers.

Why not just share in public instead of the stealth PM comments about your tool(s)?

Too many warnings and you get banned; other than that they only stop you on a temporary basis from opening a sales thread if you have sales thread permissions.

Thanks for giving me a straight forward answer. I see what you're saying, I could have done that better. As I mentioned in my post it's not ready for licensing which is why I didn't share with the public but I'm willing to share with the OP because they had a legit need and they could help me when I'm ready for it. Just trying to get some things going here I'm sure you can understand the need to hustle a little.

I get the need to hustle.

I don't get the need to violate the Terms of Service here as if you cannot share in public you certainly cannot share it in private and really, if you are going to take it commercial (license it) then you cannot advertise it without paying the owner of the forum.

That is the same rule for all of us including staff members.

I don't know what I'm doing with it. I paid $550 for it and so I'm not sure if I want to sell later on.

For now I was really trying to help the OP because I want to establish myself here as a helpful person.

You did say it was not ready for licensing so that is a bit of a red flag as it is a promotional comment.

If you want to give it away to help others please upload it to one of the accepted file sharing sites we accept, add in a virustotal.com scan and post the links here - https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/member-downloads.29/

That will help a bunch of people instead of just one and keep you looking like you are not trying to bypass the rules.

I get a good vibe from you in this thread as it does appear you are trying to contribute and not consume (I should trademark that as I say it a lot) but we have a process in how sharing files, programs, etc is done here as that helps keep the community safe and the forum clean.

Wow thank you! Let me try to explain quickly and then I will drop it because you gave me great advice on how to share it.

I paid a programmer for software w/ licensing built in, it checks their email against a text file I hosted on a website.

The problem is I don't have the money for hosting just $10 a year I know but I'm negative in my bank account. I was going to explain this to the OP in DM as it's a bit of a personal matter to be so broke you can't afford hosting.

Once I can get get this site hosted, I can give away the software and build a positive reputation,
if that's all I get out of it I would be thrilled because I know it will help people who know how to use it.

It seems people here are very smart and I do want to work with the people on this forum.
 
Additional info for you.

You got one warning not "keep getting warnings" so please keep it real and, although this is a beneficial thread as it does share info and @proxygo got to keep the change, you can always respond to the staff member who gave you the warning and they are always open to sharing the details as to why it was a violation.

But, posting in here should help others understand the file sharing process and I think that is a good thing.

The difference here is you have enough postcount etc to have chosen to upgrade and sell on here, but instead you chose not to upgrade but thought you could still sell.....

I guess by you not logging on here that much now, means you're not taking money off legitimate sellers.

No I didn't try to sell anything. I would create a sales thread if I was trying to sell. The same way I've made hundreds of thousands of dollars online before. Not try sneak some sale to one person in DM. You're free to believe whatever you want though. I see you have more posts so you must be more trustworthy. Oh and a mod badge too.

trust is not attributed to post count name colors or forum rank
its earned by actions, and people no me im no ass kisser

and if misterF has pointed something out to you, its not
for a power trip, or to be a dick, its because he saw something
needing to pointed out and corrected.

so thank him, dont be ungracious, learn from it
and move on.

He is just supporting his fellow admin. Would you expect anything else? The fact is there are no facts here.

There is no proof I tried to make a sale. If I had DM'd and asked for money there would be some proof but that didn't happen.

I don't care though. As BassTrackBoats said it's not a big deal it only prevents me from making legit sales which is a weird punishment.

I am not going to sell anything though, I am going to offer it here for free. I already discussed this with BassTrackerBoats in this thread.
