How do they make money?

I have seen lately a "new" kind of channels is growing a lot, it is in the called "8D Music". But most of them use popular songs, so they have copyright claims. So they can't earn by AdSense.

But... since it is not their music nor they are building a channel in a niche where people would think about advertising themselves (why would you advertise your music in a 8D music channel if your song is not "8D"?), how do they monetize it? Because I don't think they are doing this just for fun. For example, here is a really big one I found (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrRpYEytIHGyDgNWO6VbHlQ), or here another smaller but also growing (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQeEIKT_2egdPIX6LWRtWsA).

It's obvious how they are making money. They even have an email for business inquiries. I'm sure If you inquired about their services, they will tell you what they do and for what price.

I am not really sure if it is obvious, of course, they are open for business inquiries but exactly as any other big channel. ANyway, maybe you have reason, they could be just growing the channel without earning anything and once they are bigger, they "somehow" will make money, and if they are not able, maybe they will sell the channel for $XX,XXX

Well selling is always possible, but they make money from posting people's music there for sure. I'm sure they take care of formatting, and etc... They are already monetizing there sub number by providing a service to musicians/artists who wants there music in front of a possible million + people.

That is something I thought about but... just I wonder... it is 8D music so, the people who want to be promoted should provide their tracks mastered on "8D" and I am not sure they would do. And right now I just see really famous tracks (like Ed Sheeran and others), I don't think they (or their managers/labels) are paying to be promoted there right now. That is why I think they are trying just to grow it and who knows later.

Nice observation. Many media channels are growing for future business. Are you about to do something similar?

Not really, at least not right now, I have to focus on other projects, but since I have seen this happening each time something is trending, I was wondering how they made money.

Yep, I think they can use that for something like that.
Btw, I'm working on some channels in different niches. Without monetizing yet.

Hi buddy,

I'm doing the same thing at the moment with my channel. And its growing very fast right now (+200/+500 subs daily).
The idea is for the most channels is to grow their channel and monetize it in long term. I'm doing the same at the moment. When I have reached 100k/200k subs I will promote smaller artists who deserve more attention.
8D TUNES Owned by Samuel is contacting major labels daily if its possible to promote artists in 8D. He's doing an amazing job at the moment. But he doesn't make any money with it. I'm not sure what he will do when the "Hype" is over.

It seems he have not be able to monetize yet. At least I have not seen any promotion on his channel

i think that they do manage to monetize under fair use, since they use some kind of 8D filter BS, that may gave them "new unique version" of that song, like a remix or a re-perform of an original song is considered a new creation

Fair use is not respected on Youtube. Once your audio or video is detected by content ID, the only ones who can decide if the video continue up or must be deleted are the owner of the rights. Youtube let them decide the future of the video. If they decide to leave the video up, they, the right holders, monetize the video, and the channel owner doesn't receive anything.

yes, but note that the audio on this case was engineered in a way that maybe for the content ID detection bot, it's 'sounds' so different that it was tricked to believe this is a unique content, i don't know for sure, this is just my theory

nah.. it gets detected 100%.
they don't earn from these videos.
they grow their social media and probably from that they are making money.

How do they make money?
