How Do They Get Those 500,000 Followers?

I see Instagram accounts with 500K followers all the time. Would someone explain how they get that many? I have been getting my followers the old fashion way and at the rate I'm going, I should have 500K followers sometime around the turn of the next century. Thanks BHWer's.

I think those accs are old and when IG wasn't as strict as now.

They probably own several accounts in the 100k range and cross promoted them.

Happens a lot in IG.

It can really depends on the pictures they post OP. If its something pretty good, their followers will end up promoting it to their friends by tagging their friends in the comments. There is so many ways an account can grow OP

Not sure about these days, but last year it was all over the internet: buy 5k, 50k, 500k for xxxx dollars. Seoclerks is an example of a website that sells these kind of things.

IIRC Instagram do a mass clean-up of fake follower accounts somewhat recently?

The most of These Accounts following the same principels:

1. Doing s4s with other accounts in their range/niche
2. Posting quality content so the followers tag their friends.
3. Buying shoutouts from big accounts.
4. They often post 3-4 pics everyday

Try followliker or similar bot. Don't expect to have 500k followers in 1 day. You could expect to have 500 followers per week with bot and more while your account is getting bigger. Don't buy followers, IG will delete them.
