So? what's the penalty for that? We lose our ranking for this wonderful search term that brings in millions and millions of visitors to this thread every single day?
That would be something that the smartest man in britain would do, because being the smartest man in britain he knows very well that he's better off not showing up in the SERP's for smartest man in britain than he will be if he get's the top spot for smartest man in britain.

We got into 1st page just by keyword stuffing...
Watch the new thread and see that just by the title being the keyword and having the keyword in the URL made it rank even higher...

lol DUDE they have used the same method for a site i helped develop and this keyword is abit more competitive with over 40,300,000 websites and 90,000 searches per month.

Of course having a keyword domain also helps a lot, but it ain't everything...
Enough backlinks and good on-page SEO also help a lot and can even make the keyword domain not be necessary.
There is a lot in play.
Mostly the SEO for low comp or high comp terms is mostly done the same way, probably just the numbers are different.
Look at the sites where they submit their stories, you have the answer you are looking for in those sites, the articles/press releases they write and publish give them the juice they need from pages with content related to the keywords, and you must surely know that those links are the most powerful.
Stop using ezine, where all the spammers are and build your own blog network and post the articles there. Believe me, it works!
Just don't fall in the temptation of filling your blog network with spam/spinned/low quality articles yourself, you'll have much more to gain if you don't...
