How do people get posts on Forbes and Huffington Post?

usually these links are from a forum that's being run by Huffington post for example.
I used get links from cnn and and a few other huge domains, because they run some forums.

Hello,

I see a lot of services offering high DA quality backlinks, but curious how do they do this?
Most of them are using contributer accounts on those blogs or have a direct contact with the owners. I remember people contacting Arianna Huffington herself to get their articles on her blog when it started to shine years ago.

There's different types on offer, I have a go to guy who does featured / editorial posts but they don't come cheap.

How expensive are we talking about? Essentially it's just like a paid link on a quality article right?

yeah it's often paying contributors. forbes got in trouble for selling links in the past also. most of these sites are all no-follow links

Can confirm, paid mentions for 1000-3500 a pop.
I used to work at a content marketing agency, the founders pitch themselves as marketing experts and pitch articles, basically submitting and pestering the submission staff of tech crunch, Forbes, fast company etc. until they were granted contributor status, From there, ghostwriters wrote articles and include mnetions and links. These articles typically would mention clients were we courting ( smb, promising startups, fin tech), and PR clients who paid for these articles in a PR package . We had about 4 active contributors in our office of 20. We had the least amount of overhead in this department I think it kept the rest of the place afloat.

I've written detailed answer to this Question - Here

Well, you can pay to be featured. Quite a few sellers are providing such a service.
