By being active on CT ( crypto twitter ) and by following nft youtubers, and listening to their content
And by buying nfts .
Community based nfts like the proof collective, and the higher quality nft media / influencers have their free + paid communities which you can access by buying their nfts .
Eth is low now and it's a bear period in nft land , so accessing these communities is more affordable than a few months ago .
You can also join a DAO or multiple

Mostly advertisement are done by known influencers , some of them lost credibility due to dumping their bags on followers
