@Tooley57. Ignore the comments and get reading. It'll take you a while. But once you start reading, you'll put together the pieces of the puzzle yourself.
Start with on-page SEO. Then off-page SEO

Hey Guys, I got contact with the OP and he has said in exchange for my help, he will ok a case study here on BHW as well as send an email to his existing contacts as to my svcs. once I get him to page one for "craigslist advertising".. Should I continue the thread here or start a case study thread?. Let me know. By the way, I have already sent the OP several emails on tweaking his on page, including but not limited to: alt tags to images, removing keyword stuffing, adding in relevant h1 and h2; change title tag; adding rel-no follow, etc. (Guys, this forum has helped me a lot so this is a small way of giving back so we can all learn) let me know your thoughts.

I have to respectfully disagree with you. It's not hard to beat competition with EMD. I know this because I have outranked my competition with EMD. OP if you want to know how, Pm me.

I would say start with onpage seo, look up tips. Then if you can't really buy or learn tools yet, just comment on related blogs and forums with your links. Good starting spot.

I guess no one cared about a case study. In any event, I ranked the OP for both his keywords now on page one for "craigslist advertising" and for "craigslist ad design" I haven't heard from the OP regarding referrals. In any event, If anyone has questions on getting ranked for tough keywords, give me a holler. - Peace
