How does he do it?
Gel?
Hairspray?
Brush?

If so, what kind of? And how?

wtf? I've tried so many times, but I still fail, I have a bit shorter hair tho, but I still can't get it to be kinda like his..

No trolling please, and no comments like g@y etc lol, I don't really care..

idk really, but it looks really cool, i just cut my hairs so im not able to do it lol
You can take pic to hairdresser and ask to make the same , they will know it better for sure

No sweat. Take him (her?) to a barber, give the barber $100 and ask him to cut his hair exactly like yours.

He said no comments like "g@y etc lol" so I put exactly what he said not to. It's called joking around, I could care less if someone wants to look like justin beiber or something :)
 
You need wax for that
 
Looks like you need to dump the brush, get a hair dryer and some hair spray, more solid than most gels.
Pull your hair, dry it, next bit. This hairstyle is layered btw so make sure you build it as such.
Should be done in less than 10 minutes, provided the hair is long enough. Gets tricky with all the waves and stuff to judge proper length.

Hope this helps. And yes, it is a bit gay. :P

When I was younger my friend found a fake id that looked exactly like me - the hair, I took the ID right to the barber shop and told him to cut my hair like the picture, that was 6 years ago, still cut my hair like that today.
 
Cement for construction works can do it. Lol.

But speaking seriously, one of my friends bought recently glue for hairstyling. I even asked if he's having a laugh at me. But, apparently there is a glue for that kind of things.
 
Dump a bottle of Elmer's glue in your hair and you can make it any way you want
 
Or if your boyfriend drops his manglue on your head , you might get the same effect !(im joking and I'm sorry)
 
Go to a salon, and when you get it cut ( take the picture in ) ask them to walk you through it as they style it. Simply atching doesn't always help.

When I had my hair cut short against my wishes ( apparently 6 inches had to be cut as it was unhealthy ) I asked the girl to explain her stlying method as she went. She styled it into a nice wax emo look.

I managed to do it myself despite hair styling being my biggest downfall.
 
It looks like you need to straight it as well and use wax.

Probably shower first and then straight out your hair in layers. Figure out how to style it with wax and then use some hairspray to hold it :P

There's probably a video on YouTube somewhere if you looked hard enough for Asian hairstyles.
