I think the real question is "If I spend a dollar, what will me doing nothing with this site make me?" The answer provided is nothing at all. Most people don't get why MNS fails at the core so I will go ahead and explain as clearly as possible. MNS for BHW members is shove content on a site, create backlinks, rank for keywords, hope to GOD to profit. So why does that fail?
#1. Do you even understand WHY the visitor is coming to your website? They don't care about your information, gimmick, products, sales, you in general, THEY WANT a solution to a problem that provides them satisfaction. You need to get into their heads and find out that they aren't searching for information on a particular problem only, they are searching for satisfaction, interesting things to keep them busy, etc. You need to know your audience, not buy a $13 2k searches EMD keyword.
#2. Packaging aka imaging your site based on your customers psychological profiling. Crisp, easy to understand written articles for HUMAN eyes alongside visual images and or videos make up 75% of the content you need to match to them. The rest is about the triggers of emotions, heavy ground, and hierarchy of needs provided into the packaging of each and every single pixel of your site. From your header, your navigation menu, all the way to how well your footer looks needs to match the current visitors to your site.
#3. No incentives to even look at your failure of a mess besides trying to gulp down your horribly foul tasting article. It doesn't matter how well it is written, if you FAIL to understand your visitors and their needs and psychological triggers you are earning peanuts. Incentives are a form of advertising, if you want big viral effects, you use big products. If you want small viral effects, you give away crappy rehashed e-Books. You can do so many incentive systems (when correctly structured and packaged) to draw in people, affiliates, and your competition that are effective versus simple ranking for keywords or paid advertising.
#4. Your site was made for money. If you can't make a site that is made for quality and run 24/7/365 for perfectly satisfying your customers needs and wants, you lose money. Expect to go out of business within 3-5 years and definitely expect your competitors to dominate every aspect of your pathetic little setup. Your setup becomes pathetic when it is built for money, and even more when it is built for being lazy. Why do you think so many sites only earn $20 a month, and people scream for joy when their sites earn $200? If you even gave it 75% effort you would make $1k-$5k a month from a single site. The problem is your site and content are made for money, not human visitors.
#5. I suggest you go to a niche you like and start looking at how those sites get traffic and money. You can trace their efforts and sneaky secrets back on Google. You need to be a good judge of character and find the sites that make the most money and copy their structure. You also need to make it your own structure and put a good twist on it, hopefully you are creative enough to make even more money from your competition. As for Adsense those ads are your competition. You want to out due them, you want to crush them down and burn them. Force so much quality into your site WHILE using psychology to pry your victims of their wallets in a sneaky heavy ground way WILL make your site pull in 5-7 figures. Hopefully, if you are smart enough, you can pull up some useful resources from here (how I learned) and put together something fantastic. If not, go work at a local store and let your dreams die with you (if you can't understand after a few weeks anything posted above you don't have what it takes to even be on the internet).
