How do I find out why a Marketplace thread was closed?

I just made a major purchase of services through a Marketplace thread over the weekend. Today the thread was closed with no explanation. I am concerned about whether my service is still going to be completed. I spent a lot of money and I’m nervous as I was ripped off here once before, although not by this seller, of course. I have previous positive experiences with this seller.

How do I find out why the thread was closed? I have contacted the seller but did not receive a response yet. Would it be possible for BHW to require an explanation or for moderators to provide an explanation when a thread is closed? The sooner I know whether I’ve been ripped off, the sooner I can open a shit list and/or a PayPal dispute to get my money back.
