Haha, yep. I was so addicted to it but I learned a lot from merching. I was one of those players who spent most of their time just going into mushy shops looking for deals, gobbling them all up and reselling them in my own mushy shop. I'd also stand by FM1 front door spots to try and grab a spot LOL.
What world did you play in? I was in Scania. I bought my Level 200 account from a girl so that I could make a permanent CPQ character to have 20 blessing advantage and became the most godly Hunter probably in all of Maplestory at that time ....this was before Big Bang patch came in and ruined everything because everyone became OP and it was easy for anyone to hit 3 or 4K at level 50. I was hitting 3-4K at level 50 before Big Bang Patch. After BB I was doing around 8-10K ...haha I got pretty famous in that game but at that time knew nothing about making money off it until the end when I decided to quit and start to sell off my 20 billion mesos I had accumulated + my godly equips. Then I got scammed for the first time (experience) using paypal and learned a lesson....but at least I was able to get some money out of it before I quit. Mind you, I did all this with no hacks or software programs because I really have no clue how to use those things, even today. I spent 10+ hours a day working the FM and learning all the prices and doing arbitrage manually! Haha so it definitely taught me a lot about buying low selling high, reading market trends, and generally how to scale (started with 1 mushy shop and expanded to several) on several mule accounts.
Made about 1500 income (1000 pure profit) - my startup capital for offline/online businesses.
