How can we check competitors backlinks, If backlinks are not visible in ahrefs and semrush?

Try other tools like Moz's Link Explorer, Majestic, or cognitiveSEO. Reach out to your network or use Google's advanced search operators to uncover hidden backlinks. Sometimes you can do it better manually

Ahrefs and Semrush have some of the most comprehensive backlinks analysis tool, so if they're blocked it'll be a little difficult.

But there's an alternative, not as effective but would grant you access to a few backlinks. That is bing webmaster tools, in the backlinks section of the tool. There's an option to add a competitor's website (up to 2). When you add them, your be able to viee some of the backlinks. Unlike Ahrefs, Bing doesn't show lots of backlinks.

Do you know if backlink checking can be done for other domains using GSC?
 
You can try and use Ahref's free SEO tools. IT has Backlink checker, its limited tho
 
You can check the competitive keywords with the help of google and find the back links pointing to your competitor, I know it may be hard but while you try them its easy way to get the links..
 
The only way is GSC you might other free tools for it but not sure how accurate it might be. You can try the information shared by BHW members
 
May be your competitor blocked most familiar tools like Ahref and Semrush. You can try other tools like Moz, Spyfu, Majestic, and other SEO tools available on Google.
 
If you cannot see backlinks in Ahrefs and semrush,attempt the use of Moz's link explorer or majestic.You also can look at the source code of the website or use google search with the link.
