- drive as much Traffic as You can to Your site (NOT fake/spamm Traffic)
- make sure you don't have more then 3 adsense ad's in your page, Google doesnt accept this and they will ban you right before you expect payment
- install Google Analytics on your site and find out which posts work best, understand your visitors so you know what to post next
- Install Yoast SEO plugin and use the social toolkit it has,
- Do NOT copy pasta other users content, google will punish you for it later and ban your account

You can place your Ads in content units, link units and search boxes. You can place the ads up to 3 content and link units and you can use 2 search boxes. Make sure your ads are placed within this limitation or methods.
Also build your website as a quality one and make more engagement of your social accounts that will bring you the good organic traffic to your website and help your adsense earnings..
