How can I rank a keyword with high competition?

I'm working on a website doing its SEO from two months. The competitors of this website is mostly government websites and edu websites.
I have worked a lot but cannot get any result so I need help if anyone can.

Gov't and Edu websites usually have sky-high DA.

You're an individual with a brand new website competing against large, long-standing institutions with extremely high authority.

I'm curious to hear why you even believe it's possible to rank against these competitors? It sounds like you made a brave assumption before starting. How'd you arrive at your decision?

Proactive advice: Go extremely long-tail. Rank for search terms with 100-200 searches per month. No more. Write no less than 1000 words per post for each of those non-competitive terms.

(That's going to be a ton of work. Without knowing what your search terms are, it's hard to say if that'll be worth it or not).

Ranking for competitive keywords is a combinaison of many many different factors, but if you are just starting out, there are no ways you will be able to do that without huge money.

Go for long tail, high volume, no competition keywords. You’ll rank for competitive when you’ll be an established website

You are tight that Gov and Edu sites are good DA PA but the website that I'm working on also has 50+ DA PA and 3 years old.
The keyword that I'm working on getting position 22 from 450 on Google but not coming on the first page.

Okay but if the competition is very high, having a 50+ DA won’t help that much.

Actually, you don't need best methods as there is only one. Buy authoritative backlinks till you outrank them

Mmh wouldn’t agree completely with it.
There’s a good post around here stating that internal linking does wonders.
There are multiple ways to rank higher but I would go with : great content + proper optimization + good backlinking + good internal linking.

I would find similar KW's with less competition and descent search volume as it's nearly impossible to outrank those sites, it would take a serious big ass budget.

it is possible. one thing you got for you is that you can have a much better on-site optimization that the .gov and .edu sites. they dont care about on-site optimization.

get yourself a CORA or POP report (cora is better). and start from there.

Are you optimizing for E-A-T?

As others have suggested, look at long tails. If you're competing for the same keyword as the .gov and .edu it's likely they'll have a higher CTR anyway because of their authority and trust people have in these institutions. It wouldn't surprise me that even if you did rank top 3 that these domains would take CTR from you.
