I have low competitor keywords, I've written very high quality article and my article has been indexed.
How do I outrank my competitors with this with this keywords, my competitors have extremely low DA compare to my website.

But I noticed something, my competitor has over 10,000 backlinks, will I still be able to outrank him with a couple of backlinks

SEO isn't a sprint, it's more like a marathon. Even so, it depends on the quality of the links and the type you are building.

This is a very subjective thing to say. Perhaps, what is "high quality" article for you might NOT be what Google is looking for.

Assuming your article is in fact of high quality. The best way to outrank your competitors is by...
  • Match Google user´s search intent better
  • Having a fast loading website
  • Having a fully optimized site/article from an SEO perspective
  • Build high-quality and relevant backlinks from authoritative sites on your niche
 
If you've good on-page and articles, then it's time to build backlinks to out beat your competitors.
 
Build backlinks from relevant and good authority websites, it will outrank your competitors. Else check with backlinks of your comp. and get links from the same sites.
 
You will give you quality's of content. and get links for the relevant sits.
 
They might have used some severe blackhat tactics, just build a few HQ backlinks and niche edit, you can beat them. good luck.
