How can I monetize my subreddit?

I have an subreddit which have crossed 60k total users yesterday and is performing very well and it is in adult niche but I don't know how to monetize it. I am maintaining quality on my sub. So I don't want to post spammy links on my sub. Does anyone have suggestions on how can I monetize it?

3 suggestions:

1. I'd put an "announcement" type of post right on top which is a direct link right to a dating/cams offer. Make it sounds good "click-bait "type so people click - this the first thing new subscribers see and maybe you'll get a few signups. That's the easiest and laziest way and will make you less money. it's a little spammy but it's just 1 link.

2. More work and eventually more money is to make a website and post links to it mixed with your usual posts, like 10 normal posts and 1 to your website. Monetize the site with banner and CPA. Popup/popunder ads are tempting but Reddit mofos hate this shit passionately so IMHO try to stay away from those

3. Do some light SEO to the subreddit and try to rank in on g00gle for some money making KWs. reddit is the prefect parasite - check this thread by @710fla

I can't go with point 1.
I am already going with point 2 from 3 months.
This is really interesting point. I will see what I can do to rank it for adult keywords.

lure them to your website thats the only way, here many people are making huge money by adult reddit, try it out bro

If you were into porn re-uploading before. Attempt to connect this to such a site.

- Charge people for pinning their messages on top of the subreddit, so it's easily seen by visitors
- Charge someone for putting their website url in the right sidebar
- Build your own page and use the subreddit to promote it

I would not direct link any affiliate offers or websites on the subreddit. Only like major legit websites it's OK to direct link to.

Reddit sometimes will auto ban your website if the domain is flagged in their system.

I got auto banned for direct linking to some casino affiliate offers. I just hit save, refresh, subreddit banned for spam.

So you will always want to use a landing page on a domain you own if you do decide to pin any links at the top or something like that.

Depending on your sub-niche why not promote a paid website.

You can post every now and then a new video from such a website. Just don't over do it.
Choose a site that has teaser videos, so that the user doesn't get directly to a subscription form.

But as socialmanager said if I post direct aff link won't it result in banning of sub?

It depends on what you are linking too. Reddit can change their algorithm at any moment so we need to be really careful if we care about a subreddit. So, I would only post a link to my own domain OR trusted domains, but NEVER direct link to CPA offers and I don't think I would direct link to any cam site affiliate program. I do have some subreddits with direct links to cam sites, but after seeing that auto ban, I am really scared when I post links.

Linking to harmful third-party content, such as malware, phishing, deceptive pop-ups, etc.

So you link to an affiliate program, or someone pays you to link to their website. And then what happens when that website loads some malware loaded pop-up or redirects the users to malware/phishing/spam? Or something else that either has users report your sub to admins manually or gets flagged by their anti-spam bot. Poof, subreddit gone. Maybe the admins will give it back, maybe not.

It's OK to link to affiliate programs. But choosing the right affiliate program to promote is very important. But ultimately, linking to your own website is going to be the safest thing to do. If you wanted to join the Adam and Eve adult toy affiliate program, I think that would be very safe to link to. You can browse other porn subreddits and see what they link to, and see if they are affiliate links or how they might be used to make money.
